This is a long and pointless post, I have nothing better to do at work, and they don’t let me play with sticky tacky stuff

For this story to make sense you will need some background on my father... I know that sounds crazy but it will make sense..

my Dad is a elementary school teacher (he teaches 5th grade)
the school is just across the street from my house (you'd think it would be a stupid idea, but we haven’t had any problems yet, probably because I am always out shooting my paintball gun at the street signs so all the kids are afraid)
any who he had a student last year that came to be known as "catboy" by my father and I, the reason for this is not because of his catlike reflexes, but more because the kid seriously thought he was a cat not (sure if he is right in the head) this kid will set and lick his hands and "clean" his face and hair during class, and randomly "meow" and he would hiss at my dad and try to claw him.
anyways this kid lives just up the street from me, his dad is a mechanic, and is always outside working on his muddin truck.

ok now to the story.

last night my girlfriend met me at my moms house (I had to fix some plumbing)
the girly wanted to go out to eat which is the usual procedure since I had just gotten paid (yes I did pay for all of it, I even opened all the doors for her!)
so I left my car at my moms house whish is about one mile from my dads house (where I live) after dinner we drive to my moms and get my car. then proceed to drive back to my house. she is in front of me because she likes to "win" everything. I wasn’t going to let her win this time because I didn’t want the confusion of her having to drive past my house and flip a bitch just so I could get into the driveway, and then garage. make sense? anyways I just happened to pass her at about 35mph just in front of the catboys house.
thinking nothing of this as I usually drive down this road at 35 anyway.

so i get out of my car and I see this big white muddin truck come flying around the curve and stop right in front of my house, so i just stand next to my girlfriends car wondering who is coming over at 11 at night, some redneck looking guy gets out and slams his door and runs around the front of his truck, I continue to stand where I am and he looks at me and almost comes to an immediate halt, and slowly backed off into the street ( I guess I am meaner looking than I thought) he then says "I don’t want to see you drag racin down them here streets anymore" I laughed and said " that wasn’t drag racing, I'm not stupid" "I know draggin when I see it if you want to race the strips are just over there" again I laughed and said "whatever I didn’t hurt anything" "well there could have been a kid playing in the road" "yes I am aware of that, but this is a fairly wide road and I could tell that there was no one near the streets, I didn’t even hit 40mph" he sat and looked at me for a second, then got back in his truck. I was pissed at this point.

because I wanted to make note, the he drives like an idiot all the time, just the other night, close to midnight he was burning out and sliding around in some guys charger that he had been working on for a couple weeks.

I also wanted to say it wouldnt have been my fault if I hit your cat while he's licking his nuts in the middle of the street.

but I didnt get to, oh well maybe next time :gay:

oh and my girlfriend drives an 06 suzuki reno... which adds more to the fact that there was no "draggin" going on.

I got yelled at once for doing 15mph in first gear in my neighborhood. The guy that yelled at me called me a kid (gee thanks) and he was probably younger than me. That's why I'm keeping my Miata.

You're lucky his catboy son didnt dart in front of your car in search of mice when you were drag racing at 35mph. I think the miatas are notorious for people yelling at them while going 20mph.

I dont think anyone would have really cared if I hit the kid, maybe it would have knocked some sense into him...


I got yelled at all the time when I drove an Mx-3 that car looked fast, and was really loud, too bad it was slow.

this is the third time I have had someone say something to me in this neighberhood, the last time was in my Z28 and the guy ran out in the road hoping to t-bone me with his garbage can (again I was doing maybe 27mph)

I wasnt too worried about him trying to fight me, I think he thought about it until he got out of his truck.

I'm not even that big, maybe he was expecting a girl

not everyone is a redneck, but there is alot of diversity, so no one gets along.
I live in utah so naturally everybody hates everybody.

thats probably what I would have done if he wanted to fight, I have lost all creativity over the years...


when I was in highschool it was everyone against the cowboys, seemed like someone was getting into a fight with one of them everyday, even the girls

i have had a similar problem in my neighborhood. kids seem to like to play in the street despite a very nice HOA park 20 feet away. i am very cautious about children so i never go over 25 in the neighborhood (seriously). some kids were skating in the middle of the road, looked up at me and kept skating. i passed them.

10 minutes later i get a knock on the door. skating kids + a parent. i was bitched at for about 5 minutes. i asked 3 questions:

1- are you SURE i was doing over 25 mph? i don't see a radar gun or timing equipment in your hand.

2- you realize there is a nice, big parking area where your kids can skate all they want WITHOUT worrying about traffic, right?

3- have you warned your kids about playing in the street? they didn't seem too concerned about getting out of the way.

she jawed on and on for another 5 minutes. i nodded sagely, then i thanked her for the advice and wished her a good day.
