We have good news! We're able to get this part of your order to you faster than we originally promised:

"Porter-Cable 7424XP 6-Inch Variable-Speed Polisher"
Previous estimated arrival date: May 08, 2012 - May 16, 2012
New estimated arrival date: April 17, 2012
Yes! Now I need to order $200 of supplies I need. I don't think I thought this one through when I clicked this thread after I got out of bed it's a good investment though.

Just got mine this morning, hopefully my autogeek order comes in soon. I have to rip up the garbage pad it comes with so I'm not tempted to use it.

Had the whole day free so I went to town. Went with Optimum compound and polish because of the ease of use, no dusting, and long working times. I had to use the compound since my car was heavily swirled and had some deeper scratches.

Before

After, this is before I applied any wax so no fillers in this shot

There are still some scratches left but those are deep so I can't really do anything on those. The car looks a million times better now. Those swirls were driving me nuts. I was going to get it professionally detailed but this offer popped up so I went for it. Thanks RotorNut!

nice! On some cars I run a strip of painters trip down the middle of the hood. That really shows the difference. Did a red car once that the undone side looked pink. try it out sometime.
