Possibly the best Miata racing footage you've ever seen
Jesse Prather in the E Production Miata at the runoffs in October:
F-Prod version of the same car:
Mazdaspeed is only getting close to the laptimes of this thing with their spec miata turbo, not beating them. Imagine what this chassis could do with some boost. BTW, about 45k to build one of these.

Definitely needs a little more power. Looks fun as hell though.

Custom everything......body panels, dog-ring gearbox, professionally modified & tuned N/A engine, front and rear subframes, tubular heim-jointed control arms, possibly even uprights. Take the cost of a nationally competitive spec miata and double it, this is what you get.

I had a ton of fun in my car at 94whp. It because painfully clear at times when I had skill, and didn't. It was cool on the last few track days to be able to say that my little green car was my bitch, and I owned it. It was really cool to go into turn 1 at Hallett at 80+mph, flick the back of the car in, and use the curbing on the inside front tire to steer the car in and out.
Its somewhat unfortunate that now the car requires a bit more respect and restraint.
edit: and then, on my last track day at 94whp, a lady in a Prius was ******* with me on the way home and wouldn't let me into her lane to exit...and laughed at me. Then, I decided it was time.
