https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney_bomb
According to an anecdote, the idea arose after a group of Royal Navy officers saw a similar, but fictional, bomb depicted in the 1943 Walt Disney animated propaganda film Victory Through Air Power, and the name Disney was consequently given to the weapon.

^ If he thinks that was an unacceptably close pass, that poor bastard wouldn't last a minute in Manhattan.
As a cycle commuter, I cringe a little bit when I see other bikers acting like prima donna ******** by harassing pedestrians and drivers.

Almost one hundred people were killed today during a peace rally in Ankara.
Two bombs exploded in the space of two seconds.
This is the third such incident since early summer, in pure evil form of government sponsored terrorism.
WARNING!
Videos are extremely graphic.

Just, wow...
I will admit with some shame that I'm not well-informed as to the present political situation in Turkey. Is the assertion here that the Turkish government itself is funding or encouraging these acts? Were the attendees at the rally protesting the government itself and calling for political reform?

Out here in NYC, it's a whole different universe. I ride a $99 steel-framed 700c Schwinn from K-Mart, and I feel right at home. Nobody has fancy-expensive CF bikes in the city, and while some cyclists do appear to be suicidally insane, I have *never* seen anyone confront a driver based on something as silly as a "close pass." Part of it is the fact that we usually travel faster than auto traffic, but even at that, I've sometimes felt the side of a truck or a city bus brush against my shoulder on the uphill sections of 2nd Ave. You can't get butthurt about it, it's just the way things are.

Honestly, this just blows my mind. Even being a first-generation American whose father & uncles engaged in counter-revolutionary activities during Castro's rise to power in Cuba (gun-running, bombings of police stations, etc), the idea of government-sponsored bombings of public gatherings is something I just can't process.
