Somebody didn't tighten the clamp.

I'm checking with Snopes, but this seems credible:

I had a bit of a Vash moment today.

Went into the office occupied by my two lead design guys. Asked a simple question, expecting not to get a simple answer. Followed up with "this isn't critically important; please don't obsess about it. We need to stay focused on Control Room 2." (which goes on air tomorrow.)

Walk past their office again about 30 minutes later, and they're still debating with one another over it, which is typical. I don't even remember what "it" was, just some random un-labeled wire I'd found over the weekend.

This made me angry.

I later went into the large storage area in the back of the building which we call the boneyeard, to grab a couple of rack panels. While there, I noticed an ancient router control panel still sitting on the exact same shelf it had been a year ago when I was doing a "let's get a big construction dumpster and clear out all this old **** to make some space up here," and was told in no uncertain terms (by the same two guys) that this piece of gear was critical to the operation of the station, we couldn't get by without it, etc.

At that point, I channeled my dissatisfaction with my two employees into the form of kinetic energy, and directed it into the router panel in question.

Afterwards, I placed a strip of tape on the panel which read "Non-Functional," as it is my standing order that all non-functional gear be labeled as such, and then put it back where I found it.

I felt much better after that. And I can still use both of my hands, which is nice.

The lung is good. Didn't inhale any of the glass shards or screws which were flying around during the process.

Wish I could find the picture of my sister's lungs sitting in a bucket after removal...

Some folks has got too much time on dey hands...

A real thing. Some dude named Chris Spy actually created a complete Sonic the Hedgehog Zippy the Porcupine game on the Atari 2600.

He did this just recently, mind you, not back in 1990-something. Because, you know, there's a huge market for new Atari 2600 titles these days.

What's weirder is that you can buy it, on a physical Atart cartridge, in a box with a manual, here: https://atariage.com/store/index.php..._detail&p=1052
