Default Random thoughts...

When clouds of iron gather nigh,
Blackening the winter sky,

Storms gather fury from the lake,
Best hurry home and refuge take,

For soon the worst will come to pass,
And ice will turn your roads to glass,

While in the north the beast awakens,
From his year long slumber taken,

His howl the fury of the gales,
With deadly curves that rarely fail,

To send your autos into flight,
Through blizzard's curtain blinding white,

See driving skills you lack with the FLIGHT OF THE SKAJAQUADA!

Ferrous clouds are moving in this evening,
Night visibility is expected to be effected,
Lake effect storms are forming from the west,
It is advised to seek shelter in an interior room of sturdy shelter,
The storm will be passing over your area soon,
Sheet ice is expected with plummeting temperatures making road travel treacherous,
as a result of a massive low moving in from the north,
This is the worst storm in one year,
High winds are expected,
Beware Mexican hookers,
that could possibly steal your car,
Snow blindness in cats,
You suck at teh driving with the Skajaquada flight.

What is that smell?
Walking through the plant today
Scooping up what gets away
It's poo poo
Poo poo
Something's smelling pretty ripe
Coming from that sewer pipe
It's poo poo
Poo poo
You know everybody knows
Who can smell it with their nose?
It's poo poo
Poo poo
I've got poo poo on my shoe (x2)
It's poo poo
Poo poo
But first
You gotta (x2)
You gotta, got to, got to, got to, got to, got to, got to, got to ****,
man
Lemme, lemme, lemme, lemme, lemme, lemme, lemme, lemme ****, man
Don't gimme no, gimme no, gimme no, gimme no, gimme no, gimme no, gimme
no, gimme no ****, man
Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on
****
He's got poo poo

Are you ready...

To obey...

The Cow God?

Yeah, for some reason I stumbled across some old Green Jellö last night. For some reason, back in '92 I never realized that Skajaquada was about driving a car in the winter. Growing up in Florida, this sort of thing was not in the popular lexicon, but I was reminded of it this past week while in Columbus, OH.

For those unfamiliar, Green Jellö was a semi-humorous heavy metal band that came out in the early 90's. They were somewhat similar to GWAR, in that their videos and stage shows made heavy use of silly latex and papier maché costumes, claymation and other stop-motion animation, and needlessly large amounts of violence, gore, and property destruction. They were something of a parody of the heavy metal scene in general. The umlaut in their name, for example, was an attempt to poke fun at the use of the mark by other heavy metal bands of their era, much as was done by Spinal Tap, who placed it over the "n", an invalid location.

Their first long-form video-only album was entitled Cereal Killer, published under the Green Jellö name, and depicted "Toucan Son of Sam" murdering all the other breakfast cereal mascots on a violent and gruesome killing spree. They were sued by Kraft Foods, and forced to change their name to Green Jellÿ, re-releasing the album under this name. Probably the most well-known cut from this album was a re-telling of the classic fairy-tale "The Three Little Pigs", done in claymation and featuring Rambo waging war on a Harley-riding wolf. Skajaquada however is my favorite.

I have Cereal Killer on VHS. It's the original Green Jello version, not the sissy post litigation Green Jelly version. Though I've not watched it in probably 15 years. Mostly due to the fact that I probably haven't had a VCR in 15 years.

Any chance we could get a scan of the album cover? I never had an original, just a dubbed copy that's long since gone the way of the dinosaur.

Damn, thinking about this has gotten me really nostalgic. Anybody know where I can grab some Liquid Television? No hits on Amazon, and virtually nothing on the torrent engines. So far I've fond only one non-private hit, which is un-seeded and stuck at 0.9. That, and The Maxx.

Joe--it's in a box in the attic. Odds of finding it are low. But if I do, yeah no problem.
