Default I am computer stupid (MSPNP related)

I may be getting in over my head. Every time I go to the MS section of this board, I feel like I am trying to read a different language. And failing miserably...
All this "High res...com9...blah blah blah" ****....
I understand Ve tables and ignition maps etc...but i don't get writing and uploading software downloading programs that hav to be put into .bin or .exe files ets. (what the **** are those anyways.

let me put it to you this way. My wifes Mac, which i am using now because I don't have my own computer (my buddy is going to give me his old toshiba laptop when my MSpnp gets here), confuses the hell out of me as it is..and its point and click...
Damn the 21st century...

the laptop/ecu interface with megasquirt is actually really simple, the tuning part take a lot of time since there's so much **** you can play with in megatune. it would be so easy if i had a dyno in a room where i could control the temperature down to -40 and up to 120+ and everywhere in between, and had time to let the car completely cool down numerous times

It'll sound confusing at first, when you start using it it will all make much more sense.
