i still had to use the sledgy when putting them back in with the rx7 clips...might as well try it with the miata clips, they were signifigantly thicker, might help me out....
Man, I had to use a sledge to get my axles in with the RX-7 clips; I can't imagine getting them in with the larger Miata clips!
'Course my one-piece axles were a little bit more cumbersome to install than the stubs, but still.

Alot of Mazda axle clips seem to be a major Pita, it's even worse when they don't come out and you have to disassemble the axle, weld a Bolt on the end use a slide hammer to remove...

yeah i used the BFH too:

well it looks like im going to have to delay the video for a while....im putting it on all 4 jacks, doing my clutch/flywheel swap, and pulling the pierburg, FMU, AFM and doing a MS install...

I got the axle (1 piece btw) lined up in the hub and hammered the axle in place with a sledge, using a piece of 2x4 to soften the blow. it wasnt that difficult to pop em in, and no leaks for me. Of course i bought a set of seals at the same time as the swap, so im sure that helped some.

got the clips from Rosenthal tonight..
they are the same size, but the miata clips are majorly thicker and have little to no flex in them....
I wish I could see the rx7 stubshafts...i have a feeling the ridge in the Rx7 stubs is much thinner....
I think with enough force the miata clips will work and will fix my problem.
now to remove my:
fmu
bipes
o2 clamp
afm
exhaust
tranny
driveshaft
and pierburg.....
