We have one already.

Actually, this is only the second goodbye, and the first one was never meant to be permanent .

I want to move on with my life - I've started studying for my CompTIA A+ cert, then I'm going to get the N+, then get an internship somewhere in college (My dad works for wells fargo so I'm thinking a server farm intership), and then see where college takes me.

I don't have the time, money or energy to put into the beast anymore. I bought my dad's old A6 to get me through college, and hopefully I'll have enough when I'm out to get my feet on the ground and get my foot in the door of a good career.

My energy is going to studying and a career now, I just don't have time for the car. I'll miss you gayz :(

Was this directed at me? Because I never blew anything, I still have the original engine in my car and it made 219rwhp reliably.

You'll get the itch to start modding your car again sooner than you think. When I did the whole focus on school thing it only took a couple months for me to start hitching rides back to my hometown on weekends to retrieve the miata and do car stuff (meets, autox, etc.).

The A6 is a 2.7t so it has potential - I'm getting a APR bi-pipe and APR chip and calling it done until the stock turbos let go. When that happens it's getting K04s from an RS4.

Should put it at ~350awtq, maybe more. It'll satisfy my itch for now

If the miata has been so reliable why get rid of it for an Audi. All the audis Ive worked on have been ****** nightmares. Finding all the small **** and then paying for it.

Had to order a hose junction for a customer, had a 4 way fitting in it and 4 ~1/2 hoses coming off of it. 180 dollars wholesale.

Im pretty sure the Audi 2.7 is prety much a slightly modified version of the vw 2.8. Enjoy that nonsense.

As a former Audi tech, I say good luck unless you have some connections. Even if you do your own work, parts are expensive.

All but two of my techs wont work on audis. Its not that they are too hard. Its that they get tired of customers who dont realize its not the mechanics fault they own a piece of **** audi, its not their fault that half the time even the dealer cant figure out what part we are trying to find or cant find it in their catalog, or that the parts are expensive, or their car will have to sit for a long *** time waiting for parts, and that most basic jobs will call for considerably more labor than other cars. They become a huge pain in the ***, and from what Ive seen at the shop they arent very reliable.

Most of the high milage audis/vws I see are hunks of ****, but I see highmileage hondas/chevys/fords/dodges/toyotas/mercedes etc. Id be the lat to say that most fords are reliable but around here the audis are well bellow them. Could just be that repairs are so high that people just dont fix them, who knows.

Just saying if you traded a supposedly rock solid miata which is cheap to fix for a audi of questionable reliability that is without a doubt more expensive to fix for monetary issues or for less down time during repairs you may have made a mistake.

Regardless I hope the audi makes you happy, really all that matters.

I'd own a steaming pile of **** before I owned a Mercedes.

I haven't had too bad of luck with the Audi... But they're so damned complex that if something breaks you have to spend hours searching for what's wrong. The damned turned signals just broke on mine... They turn on but don't blink. It's also inconsistant, which tells me it's going to be either a bitch or $$$ to fix.

As much as I miss the Miata and it's dead-nuts simplicity and reliability, the A6 is quite, comfortable, refined and classy. Plus, once I chip it it'll throw me back in the seat pretty well. It's also much, much better to have for college than the Miata. It's also phenomenally quiet and it's got a bangin' stereo.

Check your flasher if its both sides, if its only one side check front and rear bulbs. On regular cars. The signal runs from the multifunction switch to the flasher to the bulbs so if the signal is getting there but its not being flashed then Id assume a flasher. I never work on audis though so thats all I can comment.

Im sure you know on most cars if a front or rear blinker filament goes out the remaining bulb will illuminate but not blink. Ive seen that on almost every make so if its only one side thats why I reccomended checkin the bulb.

Let us know what you find.

Im assuming you have a 97-04 (C5) so I checked on a price of a flasher at rockauto for a 2000 and its only like 10 bucks, cheaper than I figured, I think I paid 6 bucks for the camaro's.
