427CID is 7 Liters, which used to be a common race class size limit. Chevy had 427's. Ford had 427s, 428s and 429s. Chrysler had 426's. There were some exotics back in the day with these displacements . . . Hemi's, SOHC, Boss 429.

The new Chevy 427 pays homage to its lineage. I wish I had a 427 in my G8! Or Miata!

And the sound of one, even stock, is nice enough to make your noodle stand.

500 hp?

Would you settle for 451 and a factory warranty?
or maybe 481 with the AMG Development Package?

I told you C63 AMG.

Coupe.

The 20% origination fee is a gift to her or my father. So if I borrow 20K then I will pay her back $24K in under a year or so. Even though both my parents went to Ivy League schools, I made more than both of them combined before I was old enough to drink.

Seriously, E92 coupe, CPO, Under $30K, warranty to 100K miles, Literally $450 away from 380WHP 400TQ

Stein the 335D does not look much faster than my forester. My forester is pretty quick but I was expecting more from the 335D. 36MPG sounds like it beats my fozzies 19mpg. I could not find any mods for the 335D though.

I am not finding the E92 for under 30K. What is the $450 mod?

Mine's "only" a GT. The real benefit of the GXP is that you could get a manual. Otherwise, they are pretty much the same car and they built a lot more GT's (still rare though). It is a big, roomy 4 door, not really what you're after I think. VERY comfortable and drives like a much smaller car.

I've had enough MB's to shy away, thanks. German cars are like airplanes, boats or horses. It's not the acquisition cost that kills you. You better have a warranty.

Looks great. But I owned benzes for about 7 years before going miata and ugh. Expensive parts. Shiiy problems, snobby mechanics etc etc etc.

That gt500 looks nice but for 50K I think I would rather buy a regular Mustang GT and then boost it for 700hp or something.

Just looking back at your original post. If the miata is the monster fast car, and you are looking for a more comfortable (but still fun) DD for "Lots of stop and go traffic. Lots of city driving." Why the hell are you looking for another 4-500hp car?

I understand the wanting a sporty car thing, but just high HP doesn't mean a great ride, especially in the twisties and in traffic. If you want a 4-500hp fast sub 50k car for another fun, fast car to mod, then great, but just based off your original post, you might want to re-think. Again, not saying that the above mentioned cars will not be fun or useful in commuting, they might not provide the gay, vegan pampering that you so secretly desire.

I may have confused the issue. The $450 mod is a JB4 tuner for the 335i gas cars, not the diesel. You may pay a bit more for a coupe. I didn't look at those when I bought my sedan. It was $28K and had 27K miles, CPO. Bought the beginning of November. I have 35K miles already.
