fahrenheit 451 & a brave new world are both good dystopias

 

Pick up Handsmaid's Tale as well. Excellent dystopian novel too.

Is this that human centipede movie? Me and a coworker laughed our asses off about this a few weeks ago all day long. Neither of us have seen it, but saw reviews and thought the concept was fucked up and funny as hell.

 

no, it's a stupid movie about splicing dna into an alien, creating a new test-tube hybrid human/alien baby, raising it then having sex with it and killing it. it's slow, uneventful, pointless, and has a stupid ending.

 

My mistake, the one I'm thinking of is actually called "The Human Centipede". This one sounds about as bad though.

I perfectly summed up the movie synopsis; there's nothing else you can take from this movie.

There was nothing insightful or mind-boggling about this movie. It didn't make step back and rethink the human condition. I didn't make you think about ethics in science. It did however made me think about alien incest.

 

When has that ever been a bad thing? Sounds like a good movie to me!

I think it's tied with the human centipede for the most pointless movie I've seen this year. It was funny to watch just for how ridiculous the creature was. And it wasn't a human/alien hybrid. It was a human/bird/rat/scorpion/etc hybrid superstrong flying incest rape machine.

 

Oh I thought that was the one Damn.
