Talk me out of this Hyundai
I know you guys probably hate the appliance like camry, but I recently bought a 2012 i4 SE model (23.6k OTD) and it's a nice quiet ride compared to the Miata. Excellent fuel economy and a lot of room. It's 178hp isn't the fastest thing on the road but does the job, I suppose. The stock suspension is actually decent for a Camry tho. But if your looking for something fun, a lot of the cars mention would probably be my pick (gti, brz etc). I was actually looking at the passat tdi models at around 26k, which was a little out of my price range.
Anyway, Camrys has great resale value as well and reliable, it's Toyota after all.

We looked at the V50 a few years ago before we ended up with the A3 (this was when Volvo was facing bankruptcy and we were concerned about warranty servicing).
Oh man! Something just clicked for me... There was a very nice looking white C30 with roof racks in my neighborhood that I would often admire.
It has been replaced with a pearl white BRZ.

I was in the same boat last fall. Either new Optima or CPO BMW 335i. Same money. The BMW won. I won.
WINNING
It gets a real-world 28 mpg, it's pretty quick, it's solid and no one ever thought it was a kia or a Hyundai.

335i = great/fast ride, except having faulty HPFP issues.
I don't think they fixed it, end up extending the warranty on it till 110-120k miles.
Still sucks to be stranded and such a hassle to tow to a dealer. If you can deal with that, excellent car for speed/luxury.

Test drove a Veloster T today. Nope. Blind spot galore, doors felt bad, center console did also. The steering wheel was a cluster of buttons and controls. It was also a constant hunt for the right gear in the auto.
Elantra- Yes
Mazda3- Yes
Mazda2- So so, but the price is right
Buick Verano- Again, so so

Not bad. What do you think?
I rent a lot of small or midsized sedans for work and I'm impressed with many of tr Kias, Hyundais, etc. The only shitty ones have been the Camry and the Mazda 6.

I'm going to go break it in tomorrow morning as it only has 5 miles (me driving it home), but the 5 miles were nice. Surprisingly tight feeling and isn't unsettling over railroad tracks. I'll rape it for the next 5/60,000 then trade it for the next little victim. Turned in a very beat Regal GS which was problem after problem with only 134k miles
