Tire Mounting
I feel like Im getting raped. Took my 2 new Azenis to the local tire shop for mounting and balancing. ******* 60 bucks including disposing of new tires. **** I tried a different local shop and waited 20 minutes for someone to show up who spoke English and no one ever showed up. And from the looks of the shop I wasnt to confident in their ability to put the tires on right side out and get good balance
What are you paying? Did I get fucked?

I've never paid more than $40 for the full service. 7-10 a wheel; mounting, balancing, disposal, etc etc etc.
However, If you go to a random garage, expect $60 for 2 tires.

well ive used this guy before. But are you saying $ 40 for how many tires? Big shop? I figured the big guys like Pep Boys would charge more
I go to a little shack here in San Diego by the name of ''Joel's Tire'' $20 to demount, let me take them, and paint em, and to remount and balance with new mega cool 5+ HP chrome valve stems
(painted them black immediately after)

A couple of months ago I got my azenis mounted for $50 with the inside sticky weights, would have been $40 if they used the weight that sits on the lip. However, it is not uncommon for most shops around my area to charge around 20 to 25 to mount and balance only(disposale is extra). This includes pepboys, sts, etc.
We charge based on the tire size and if it is a low profile or not. A low profile 24" wheel with sticky weights mounted and balanced is $100.
I would shop around, a place down the street from me will mount up a stock 16" or under for like $5.

Jeesis I'd never pay more than 11-12 dollars/wheel (aspect ratios over 45). You got raped dude.
Plus, I know a lot of shops I worked for would charge more if you brought the tires in as opposed to buying them there.

I get my tires done at Sams Club. They're with walmart of pricing and always do me right. Plus the one here is hardly ever busy so they get it done right then and there, no waiting. It's around $10-12 a wheel.
