My wife has a company car, I'm allowed to drive it, we are allowed to use it for personal trips, and they pay for 100% of the fuel. If the personal use miles are over a certain % then we have to pay income tax on it as a personal benefit, but she drives enough miles for work that it's not an issue.
Her employer keeps some kind of a points system for vehicle accidents and if you accumulate too many, they don't fire you, but you lose the company car and then have to use your own vehicle if you want to keep your job. That's fine and all, but they also assess points for accidents that aren't your fault, like when her car got rear-ended at a stop light. I guess the points expire on a rolling basis so it's no big deal, but still bullshit in concept.
