In GA you can't actually say you're going to shoot the person OR point it at them.

 

It's called ASSAULT, and it's illegal in every state.

Pointing a gun at someone, unless it's in self defense, is at the very least, "brandishing a firearm" which is a misdemeanor, and can usually be tried as "aggravated assault".

Even if there is no gun in sight, you cannot say you are going to shoot someone. That crime is usually prosecuted as "simple assault" if there are no other circumstances.

There was a guy quite recently in an open carry state with a concealed carry permit that got into some sort of altercation at a costco. He simply pulled his shirt up over the grip of the pistol he had concealed and went about his business. While all he really did was convert from concealed carry to open carry he was still arrested.

bleh, just carry a nice high-pressure water pistol full of cooking oil for your fellow motorists who **** you off. a few nice squirts on their windshield will force them to pull over, and it will take about half a bottle of windex to get it clear again. I got the idea after I accidentally dripped some oil on mine awhile back, but am yet to test the theory....

 

pulling out a water pistol is a good way to get shot.
