Using glossifier should make it easier to clean.

One of our customers dipped his GTR in our shop over the weekend. Here is a link to some pics on a local forum: http://forums.coloradoracing.net/ind...ost__p__957723

That miata is never going to look as nice and shiny as it did when it left. *cry*

The great thing about the Plastidip is that if it looks bad or I get bored I can always peel it off, wax it up real good, and restore it to the great condition you had it at.

This thread has really peaked my interest in possibly doing this to my car primarily because it would be a fun project and it is not permanent. It also serves as a a good protectant layer for OEM paint.

I was thinking about doing something like firebelly orange with either the glossifier or the pearlizer they have. I have not seen too many good pictures of what the pearlizer does so it might looks like ****. The orange also does not look bad with just a matte finish.

I have dipped 2 cars now and once i get a new bumper on the miata and getting running i will be doing the miata a crazy color....

Registration purposes dont have to change anything since it is temporary thats like a guy with a vinyl car going to change his registration for having his face on his car or something.

It can be washed like every other car in a power car wash, I did my neighbors tc and she didn't wash it for 3 months it had salt, bird crap on it, she took it to a wash and it washed off fine.

The amount of gallons you need will be about 3. You could do just 1 gallon it will change the color but when you want to peal it off, it will be more difficult, plus the more coats you do the stronger it will be against dings etc.

Side note dont get gas on it it will get eattin off

here is a 240 i did...1 gallon only since it was a car i was flipping and the prep work consisted of wiping the car down with water and a towel that was dirty from oil stains lol

Seriously considering this for my Red, that S2K looks alright - kinda like a DQ cherry dip. Not sure what color I'd go with yet though..

I've always been partial to the all yellow with the two black stripes from nose to tail.
