The proper tap comes in a set of 3 at HF for ~$17 (I ordered one from an estate auction for $1 on ebay). Then you gotta find a drill bit, which HF doesn't have, surprisingly. I ordered a new dewalt 11/16", 3/8" shank bit from ebay for $5 when I couldn't find one locally.
