I have a few interior goodies waiting on my cheap *** to buy a couple more gauges, a set of stainless brake lines, and a valve cover to clean, paint and install. And let's not forget the new intercooler and radiator I'm too cheap to start on.

But at least the car runs, drives, and passes emissions; and with boost to boot!

I have a spare '99 bottom end, head, and tranny waiting for some attention.
Boost goody's are on the list....of course.
I just need to quick working on other cars, and get back to mine.
I guess there IS a Hustler in all of us.

I'm stuck between two roadblocks right now...the coolant reroute is fucked because the coil pack is in the way, and the lower rad hose won't fit because of my big *** swaybar. If I can just get it running I'm going to talk to begi about dropping it off to clean a few crude innovations I created.

I have so many parts laying I don't have any room for a second car in the garage anymore. Built motor, spare motor, 6 speed tranny, 8.8 irs, intake manifolds, flywheel, clutch, radiator, complete NB turbo setup, exhaust, aem f/ic, begi scooper, and I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting. I don't know if it would be better to just install the stuff I want and sell the rest, or just buy another car to install the extras on. Even with the pile of parts, the miata in the garage runs and actually does have a turbo on it though.

I guess i am not "being a hustler" My car has had a functional turbo for nearly 2 years now. I do have piles of parts waiting to go on the car, I even have a 96 differential, and associated parts that I purchased over a year ago from a member, that I have yet to pick up (Sorry Dan). I kind of feel for hustler, I work away from the house for months at a time also, and stock pile parts wile away. When i am home, the last thing I want to do is bust knuckles on my car.

How do Miatas fare with a Tial BOV? I know DSM's have a very hard time with them at low boost (i.e. ~16-20psi). Higher boost they work well. I have a friend who does a lot of track days @20psi. When he drag raced at 30psi it was great, but when he backed it down for road racing, the Tial blew. Went back to a stock 1g DSM BOV and it fixed all of his problems.

I will repeat: I thought your condemnation of all rubber soles as ugly was overbroad and might not have taken into consideration the diversity of rubber soles out there and the way in which they could be used. I offered a counterexample that I thought would illustrate my point. DO NOT make me mention this again!

Did I miss something, or are you being a complete *******? I asked a simple question about how a part performs on the miata. I have extensive experience with DSMs, so I was questioning if a particular part works the same way on a lower-boost miata.

I found when visiting London that it was not much different than here, most men were wearing ugly cheap shoes. Not all were rubber souled, some were. As far as what I see here, as a sales professional I look at my competition that come in with old, out of shape, unshined shoes and wonder if they even realize just how bad it looks...must not as they still do it years after my first notice of this.

So what you're saying is that you'd rather wear the nice shiny new shoes, even though you have no proof whether or not your nice new shiny shoes perform as well as the old, out of shape unsightly shoes. Call me, oh, I don't know, logical, but it seems to me if I had feet that were very expensive that I'd rather wear shoes that performed well as opposed to ones that looked good.

I have parts that I was going to use, but decided I wanted a bigger turbo, so I needed bigger things.

MS PnP, but no laptop computer. No MS, so no larger injectors. No injectors, so no supercharger. Oh, and I still haven't done the compression test.

All I need is a freaking cheap laptop and some time.

I guess I am from a different perspective. I have the been turbo'ed for 5 years, but started to replace the link piggy with a hydra last spring.

I never completed the install because I have been unable to find my vacuum leak (car idles at about 2k rpm after installing the hydra) and put the car in storage with the install incomplete and putting less than 800 miles on the car last year.

I'm pretty sure the leak isn't in the injectors and is related to replacing the modified lower intake. I'm going to replace the gaskets next spring and if that doesn't resolve it, I'm bringing it in to the performace shop. A smart man know when to say **** it.

Waiting on the Miata turbo build until I get my daily up and running (bad TOB on Integra). Got everything I need to be turbo'd, except oil drain adapter. Until then, the Miata is the DD.

r-pkg lip, fm frame rails/butterfly, bilsteins, gauge hood, need a water temp gauge...

Have a working/running turbo on the car, but few gremlins that need to be worked out...

In the middle of a major move right now, so dunno if x-mas will be miata friendly this yr...

Oh and fwiw, on my list is selling my Tial...i'm only on 6lbs, but first the spring i had was too stiff and now the one i have (with 3 washers shimming) leaks at idle...
Gonna find out what everyone using, and recirc while I'm at it...
I don't think its that loud tho, sound is the only thing i like about it at this point...

Blah. I have had all of this more over a year: t25, two intercoolers, piping and couplers, bigger injectors, mani, EMB, BOV. I'm still short a few parts and it'll probably be a long time before I get anything installed. Poor college student FTW!
