Congrats Y8S!

Still unsure if I want to have any kids or not. I've watched all my nieces and nephews grow up (bros and sis are 20 years older than me) so I have some experience with what its all about.

Congrats and I'm with Mobius. 8 year old in the Miata in child seat, airbag disabled.

Accident avoidance trumps accident survival. But to each his own. My wife agrees with Y8s.

Cats and babies do not mix - toxoplasmosis.

Congrats!

Because either way it needs clarification.
It was more of a stupid inside joke.

More like me saying to Y8s, "Don't listen to them saying that you need to keep your car, change is good! Sell it! Sell it!"

Reason being, I'm buying it from him.

My response to all of you childlickers i mean childlikers is

vasectomy.

Vasectomy for the win.

Plus when you sleep around you get extra funtimes with the unprotected P in V cummage statement, "OOPS".

Your doing it wrong...

first I had my NB - then my wife, then we got 2 kids. Now there was the chance to buy another NA to make my wife happy and get both kids in the cars, when we go for a nice weekend ride with the Miatae... Win.
(Needless to say - both our kids love the cars and will probably going to want to drive them in a few years... )

I gave in to the pressure to buy dogs when I was waffling on the subject. I love them dearly but, if I could go back in time and do it over again, I would not have gotten them.

Imagine thinking that every day of your child's life.

Especially considering dogs are a lot less of a complication than kids are.

Indeed it's true and I'm well aware of how lucky i am. I swear to uphold it's awesomeness and integrity. (wish i could remember the line from Gran Torino when Walt left his car to the kid)

On the topic of car seats...

Amazon.com: Recaro ProRIDE Convertible Car Seat, Blue Opal: Baby Amazon.com: Recaro ProRIDE Convertible Car Seat, Blue Opal: Baby

I got mine at Amazon. I stalked it using camelcamelcamel for a few weeks till a low price appeared. And it's great. Extremely robust. It has a heavy metal frame and is very nicely put together. Your baby will be too small for a few months, but once you can get him out of the infant bucket and into a real seat, DEW EET. My little girl has been riding in her Proride since 3 months old. So much safer than the damn bucket.

And she's almost big enough for forward-facing. That means Miata drives.
