It's about some politicians banking on people being retarded and trying to get votes out of them before people realize they just fucked themselves in the ***, essentially.

 

The way my econ professor explained the gas tax holiday is that each family ends up saving $2 per fill-up instead of millions of dollars in highway repairs being done.

I have 5 gas stations on my block. there is always a line at the Sunoco, as they are always 5-10c cheaper than the rest. I personally go to the one with the shortest line.

3.50 x 15gal = 52.5
3.60 x 16gal = 54.0

 

That's the thing. They're not giving you ****. You're basically forcibly taking a $600 loan against yourself. You are the one who's going to pay the interest on it. The $600 will end up costing thousands.
