My high school was the Lodi Flames. (The town is famous for an especially sweet grape that's only grown there called the flame.)

No better way to strike fear into the opposition than knowing there going up against "The Flames"

 

In West Virginia we used to run track against a high school called the Applemen Musslemen. That was strange. Their girls track team ran is dresses (really!).

There was also Weir, WV - Weir High (We're High!).
