I wonder if they actually did anything themselves...

So... you hang out in Video Game forums?

I always thought I was a borderline dork... but I've never jumped off the deep-end and joined a video-game forum.

As a kid, I even had a huge TRON poster in my room, but to this day I'm not geeky enough to think I could compete with somebody who would quote a video-game forum in a Miata-forum. That's some next-level uber-geekiness.

So you're either the biggest dork I've ever come across, or perhaps a new breed of genius. Either way, you're pretty OK in my book.

The sad thing is people sitting around playing these and recognizing the various screens, weapons, armor, etc. are from all these other games.

Friggin Nerds.

I saw that on slashdot yesterday, pretty hilarious. I'm guilty of recognizing *some* of the copied stuff...but hell, I'm a programmer so there's no denying the nerd factor here.

I'm working on a team project at school to create a very basic FPS. My job is Modeling and texturing. Creating models and textures from scratch is a pain when you know there is a premade one you can just swipe. Obviously you shouldn't, but it looks like they were lazy. They didn't even change the colors.

I remember when I lived in Korea, you could walk into these mom and pop shacks that had home made arcade games that cost about 10 cents a game that were ripoffs of all the real things like Pacman, Donkey Kong, Galaga. This is nothing new. At least they ripped off some pretty cool games!

Instead of playing video games, I lay pipe, and lots of it.

I find myself geeking out sometimes over various kills I score on Cod4 online.

I'm working toward my golden mini-Uzi, all I have left is 100 headshots with the mini-Uzi, so I'm more concerned lately with getting headshots than just kills. From time to time, I can crouch down and sneak up behind someone and just hold my gun to their head, and then shoot them after a few seconds. Doesn't sound like much, but I'm betting there have been quite a few people cussing at their TVs after they saw the killcam...
