The guy I went with lost his mind because I attempted to pull a gun out of the case (never even got it unlatched) while the range was cold.

Was shooting a target a few years ago (thick stainless diamond plate with a chain welded to it that I made). We shot it all day with just about every hand gun ammo that you can buy. Pulled the SKS out and fired three rounds. They all passed right threw it. I've got two 5x5 squares of armor plating that a good friend gave me (he works for the evil military industrial complex). I'm guessing I can't weld to it but I need to hook it up somehow to use it for a target. Hmmm, probably can't drill through it either. Maybe I need to talk to him a bit and see what can be done.

Edit - when you design yours please make it easy to break down. I carry two 11mm wrenches with me for this one and it is a PITA to setup/teardown.

Cover the back of the armor plating in 3M double sided tape, stick it onto whatever you want to mount it to, put weight on it for a while and it will never come off.

Thank god the free state range I visit isn't full of **** and moan queer ********. Really pisses me off everywhere you go in life, everyone has to bitch and moan about anything and everything.

Why not just shut the **** up, mind your own ******* business, pay attention to what YOU'RE doing instead of everything else around you and ENJOY YOURSELF. Otherwise, GO THE **** HOME!!

The place is just south of St Joe Missouri and a typical day you'll find everything from bubba and his deer rifle to a local LEO with a select fire AR or even AK variant. It can sometimes be a little too crowded for my enjoyment but I've met the greatest people there! Made it a habit to wander around and see what everyone else is shooting and chat with people. This practice has given me a chance to shoot some really cool weapons I've never had the opportunity prior. Think the coolest thing I've shot was a 460Mag, second best was a Keltec Sub2000 in 40 cal. VERY accurate at 50 yards with iron sights!!!

(Participation!! I love this thread!!!)

Here are the targets that one of our buddies builds on his homemade CNC-machine. If anyone is interested in one, just let me know and I will shoot you their contact info, etc. As you shoot the top target, it will flip to another target and 'walk around' as you do so making the target you are shooting at constantly different.

P.S. - My buddies just got a Thompson in. Yes, it is the real deal. Shooting it later... AAAAAAWWWWW YYYYYEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!

Looks like a good idea, he should patent it.

Yeah. It works great... Unfortunately the design is public knowledge so patents aren't applicable for it. If anyone wants one just hit me up.

The best twins I've ever fingered...
2 registered thompsons, 50rd mag dumps = FUN! He had several 100rd mags, but I couldn't convince him to dump 200rds in 10 secs...

As cool as Thompsons are to talk about, actually shouldering one is total doodie. The ergonomics and overall heft make it impossible to shoot comfortably from the shoulder but firing from the hip is fun.

I watched an 80+ year old man kick the living **** out of a much younger rangemaster because he'd tried to gank brass from the old dude's NM M1A.

Bottom line: you don't **** with old men who have forearm tattoos.

He got bullied as a kid while riding the schoolbus - I can see why.

Been to **** Creek 4 or 5 times years ago - never heard of this one...

Pre-gopro cam (fire-fighter helmet cam) strapped to my DSA...
