Ammo is cheap, but mostly corrosive stuff. That in itself is a pain, but not a deal breaker. Russian/eastern Bloc stuff is better than the chinese for about the same price. Buy in bulk and you can plink for cheap, although it's getting harder to find the really cheap cans. I used to buy full cases for less than $100, but i think it's about double that now.

TBH like you said, it doesn't really matter if its corrosive or not. Windex FTMFW.

Shot mine this last weekend. Went clean through a 2ft diameter palm tree, seems powerful and is f in loud. I also had problems with the bolt being a punk after 2 rounds. Would really like to see what it has in it with a good scope. Might pick up a few more this weekend a the gun show in San Antonio.
Anyone have any experience with the M&P9? I have a 2010 model SW9VE and love the way it shoots have close to 3000 rounds through it.. I can take a man size target down from 50-75 yards. Will I like the upgrade or is there really not a difference?

I'd shy away from any S&W automatic. I rue the day I picked up the few M&Ps thinking S&W's automatic pistol crew had gotten over the issues of yesteryear but no, they were huge piles of steaming **** but I managed to trade them for a couple Glocks. Hell of a deal if you ask me.

GO FOR IT BRO, LEMME KNOW HOW IT TURNZ OUT LOL!!!

1) Buy a Walter P22
2) Buy a shitload of the cheapest .22LR ammo that you can find
3) ?????
4) Profit
I LOVE the way the Walther feels and you cannot shoot anything cheaper than you can a .22. The pistol is kind of expensive but you will more than make up for it in the cost of ammo. Also, it is easier to load than some .45acp Glock and easier on your hands and stuff when you fire it 500+ times a day. Take a friend and do 500 rounds each at targets that you have printed off the internet. Lots of fun for little money. I go (or used to - work has been busy lately) once a week. I pay for the gun/ammo/range membership and friend pays for lunch.

I'm trying to understand how the M&P9 can be a hunk of **** when their hunk of **** model SW9VE has performed flawless for me? I think I've had 2 stove tops and it was the same day, 900rds without clean, 200rds that day, and $8 academy ammo. I don't know a better test than that.
You can go ahead and register it as an SBR with the ATF and then go shoot as much dirt as you'd like because you ain't gonna hit **** while bumpfiring.

Pusha pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one... Bumpfiring is for just showing off. Also be careful with firing Glocks TOO fast. We had one of the 17s we converted to full-auto explode on us due to that. Had to reduce the cyclic rate on our other one to avoid this in the future. The rate prior would empty a 33rd mag before the first casing hit the ground. They also don\'t do well with suppressors in full-auto. But you don\'t have to worry about any of this as there are no transferable ones on the market for individuals.
Also MASSIVE +1 to rmc on the Walther P22... Really fun guns and the barrel is pre-threaded. All you need is an adapter and suppressor and you have a fun little toy that is cheap to shoot and hearing friendly. Those things are pellet gun quiet when suppressed by the way...

Feel free to make some bullshit like this for $10 if you really want to **** away a bunch of ammunition and risk both your safety and the safety of those around you:

Personally, I don't see why it's worth $300+. Full auto/simulated full auto is cool and all, but I see it as a sort of waist IMHO.
