Well, I doubt it functions identically to a Marvel top end...but I get what you're saying.

Otherwise, looks good. I loved my 1911 Marvel Unit 2 .22...just fun to shoot .22 out of that platform.
That model comes with a threaded barrel and fake can, too..

That's what I want. A small fleet of 1911's, cause I've never shot one but they look cool to me. 22, 9mm, 45.

Wifey & I got our fingerprints done last weekend for our permit/license, whoo hoo.

Well.. the entire slide... slides. The barrel is fixed and its reasonably accurate. Is it match grade? Lol, nope. But I paid 200 for it. I consider it a trainer for my Spartan, good cost saver.

Just like the last time he was banned, I'll fill in for a minute:

"You guys all suck, Colt's rule!"

How was that?

I'm about halfway through Chris Kyle's book... it's finally getting good'ish. Makes me want to skip the .308 and go straight to a .300 Win Mag for my first big rifle. BOOOOM!

Sold my PF9 today. I got $70 for the laser and $270 for the gun with 2 mags and a holster... I had it for almost a year and think I made $20 on the deal... paid $215 I think shipped from CTD.

I feel like i should sell one of my ARs. Just not sure if i should bother.

Most definitely trading my 4.5" M&P pro for a worked CZ SP01 though, I'm realizing i love full metal guns.

FTF is cool in IL as long as they've got a FOID card, right? You don't have to use an FFL?

There's a pretty good forum here in LA... BayouShooter... everything I've ever put up for sale is gone within a couple days. Sometimes I offhand mention something in a regular thread and get a PM from somebody wanting it or offering a trade. Would it be that all states made it that easy.

I like using the local Lowes for all my deals, most dudes around here headed into a hardware store don't even bat an eye if somebody is selling a gun out of their trunk over near the sheds and playground sets... plus the parking lot is on CCTV.

An armed society is a polite society.

Yah, FTF is no problem with FOID. Just have to abide by wait times

How does the documentation for that work? You meet a guy, inspect his FOID, take the money, then have him to come back in a week? Is that for pistols and long guns?

Oh yeah... against my better judgement, I'm off to the local gunshow... actually have a "buy" list of little stuff. Will post results when I get back.

You know what f-ed about IL (I grew up in Galena until I entered the service in '91) - IL residents HAVE to have the FOID card to buy ammo, or anything for that matter it seems. However, when visiting the folks and hunting, as an AL resident, I can and have bought ammo over the counter just by showing my AL driver's license... talk about sticking it to the residents of IL.

The state blows, no question.

For Sam, yup.. meet and do paperwork/exchange FOID information. Then 24hrs for longgun, 72hrs for pistol.

Shot the Ruger with the Pac-Lite barrel the other nite, love the weight of it now. Was having some feed issues with last two rounds though, gotta debug that. 2nd to last would get halfway in and the last round would also release and get caught between bolt/ramp, shaving off lead from the cheap little .22s. Never had that with the factory barrel :/

Yay. Just sold that Glock mongrel I put together. Guy was confused and offered me $25 more than my asking price. I was honest/dumb and corrected him.

Yup, that's the one. How close are you to getting your pistol permit?

Highlights of the gunshow:

Keltec PF9: $370
used G17 Gen1 missing rear sight: $500
no beef jerky guy
unbranded AR oversize charge handle latch: $40
S&W Bodyguard 380: $425
no Sub2000's
used windowless PMAG's: $22

I did manage to spend $300 though. Got 500rds of .223, 4 PMAGS, a Gripod, a "**** Obama" coozie, some targets, and a few other odds & ends.

After I stopped by Academy and got a soft-case for the AR and then hit Walmart for some white-box... still $23 100rds. They also had 100rd packs of Remington JHP's for $32, but I've got enough.

Then a buddy called and wanted to go shooting. I got my first taste of Glock long-slide... G35 tactical 40. Went to an indoor 25yd range and managed a 14" group all the way to the limit of the traveler. It was awesome... also put 100rds through my G19gen4... LIKE IT much better than my G17, with the medium grips, it's like a glove.

Sounds like a typical gun show to me. I quit wasting my time :(
