I'm more interested in a Benelli M4 or a 20-gauge semi-auto shell-slinger at this point. (unless someone has a line on a Saiga-12)

Ordered a Coonan FAL receiver today to go with my Sarco Argy kit. They normally run at a two month lead time. I've wanted a FAL for a long time. Hope I didn't wait too long.

And the bidding on my Lot of 10 PMAGs has begun. What do we think it'll end up at?

Average price is down a bit from last night. There were several auctions for 2 PMAG's ending in the $160-180 range. Today it's down to 2 PMAG's for $80-90 it looks like.

That's odd. There are still tons of them on eBay.

Firearms, weapons, and knives policy

Policy overview

Most weapons can't be listed on eBay because of strict federal and state government regulations and international laws banning the sale of these items. Please review the list of items below to find out what you can and can't sell on eBay.

For certain types of weapons that can be listed, sellers have to follow our guidelines, as well as meet the following requirements:
The item is listed only on the eBay US site.
The seller is located in the US
The item is also in the US
The seller offers only domestic shipping for the item, since international shipping would make the item available in countries where it might be prohibited.
The item complies with California law on the sale of weapons.
Make sure your listing follows these guidelines. If it doesn't, it may be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including limits of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.

Yup... give it a few months.

The "industry" has mentioned several times in a few other publications I've read that there will be no manufacturing expansion or major changes in the immediate future to compensate for the current rush. We all know Brownells sold 3.5 years worth of mags in 72hrs, but their stock will be replenished in time, as will everything else.

The only thing that could possible affect the immediate future of life as we know it gun-wise, specifically with semi-automatic rifles and 11+rd mags is an executive order... and the President isn't there yet. Yep, he won a second term and is untouchable for 4 years, but using an EO in that manner is a very slippery slope. The can of worms he opens can only hurt him. People who hate him currently will hate him more, and he'll lose a lot of support... not just with democrat gun-owners, but with politically savvy people who then finally realize the 1000lb gorilla is loose... if he's got the ***** to EO firearms legislation, what's next?

As always, write your representatives in an intelligent manner and let them know what you think... THIS SHIZ IS KEY to convincing them that the people will support him/her when they vote against bullshit gun laws.

Also, for the love of sweet baby Jesus in a tuxedo shirt, join the NRA... it's $25 a year, and you get a free hat, duffel bag, and a magazine subscription. It's $70 for 3 years... not even worth debating... just do it.

Yup, looks like it peaked sometime yesterday. The margin isn't worth my time right now -- I'll wait to see if prices go back or (please no) an actual ban happens.

Firearms, weapons, and knives policy
Interestingly, I received two different emails from eBay, with slightly different explanations. The first email:

We recently removed the following listing:

330847871680 - 2 Magpul PMAG 30 Round / Black / 5.56MM or .223 caliber / FREE SHIPPING

We removed it because including this information in the description is a violation of our policy:

You listed an accessory for a firearm that is considered an assault weapon. These items are removed due to the complex and varied regulations governing their sale. Something that is legal in one jurisdiction may be illegal in another. To prevent members from inadvertently violating a firearms law, we have banned listings for all parts and accessories related to assault weapons. Please do not relist this item.

Because of various laws and regulations on the sale of assault weapons and parts and accessories for assault weapons, we don't allow selling these items on eBay.

But you can list accessories that would fit a variety of different weapons, such as scopes, sites, and shoulder straps. If you do sell these items, you can't mention assault weapons in your listing.

Keep in mind that any listing for an item that's described as a part or an accessory for an assault weapon will be removed. Even if an item doesn't attach to an assault weapon, you still can't list it on eBay.
And the second email, a few minutes later:

You recently listed the following listing:

330847871680 - 2 Magpul PMAG 30 Round / Black / 5.56MM or .223 caliber / FREE SHIPPING

Unfortunately, we had to remove your listing because of the following:

You listed a magazine for a firearm that holds more than 10 rounds and is therefore not permitted on our site. While this item may be perfectly legal to sell and available at other retail outlets, we've made the decision that some firearm parts are not right for our marketplace. We ask that you please not relist it on our site.

Magazines with a capacity of 10 rounds or less may be listed. However, the capacity must be stated in the item description, or clearly visible within the images used in the listing. If there are contradicting terms (i.e. 10 rounds or less is stated, but the image shows 15) these listings may also be removed.

eBay prohibits the sale of magazines that accept more than 10 rounds, typically referred to as "high capacity" magazines. These items may not be sold, regardless of how they are described in the listing.

They are not. Maximum magazine capacity is 10 rounds iirc. California is dumb.

Who wants my digital camo (awesomely painted, seriously... myself and others though it was a Dip job) AR15? That V8R partout is calling my name if he isn't interested in trades... i need to sell.

I tallied up all the parts on it... holy moly... I will obviously accept less.

Parts list:
