11/14/09 Midlantic/NE Dyno Day!
Buying an engine from Paul this week. Looking to put it in the first week in Nov when I have off. I guess count me in for dynoing.
95 r package, 94 bottom end, 95 head, gt2560, absurdflow setup, MSPNP

So what's different with the setup from when you dyno'ed last time?
95 head will be going on along with the stock 95 intake manifold. Should see lower results than last time. Actually, I will pretty much have the same engine and turbo as Jan (Johndoe) but with absurdflow stuff instead of Begi so it'll be interesting to see what numbers it will put down.

Yah that'd be sweet, a 3rd different ABSURDflow manifold style with the 2560R, except he has the BEGI intake and a worked 99 head with cams.
Last time I dyno'd (fall '07), the car made more power in 4th than in 5th, even though it's a 6-sp. Is that normal? I hoped to have the 5-sp. in by now, but the other person is busy.
I wanted to put a 18x12x3 tube/fin IC like mine into Ed's car but couldn't find one on ebay when the time came, so he got a bar/plate style.
because when i had 'upgraded' to my 12x18x3 from my 12x11x3 I noticed an increase in spool time. i thought it was overkill for 230rwhp and decided id rather have a smaller core that flows better and is less of a impedance for the rad. I noticed right away a more responsive turbo after the swap and better coolant temps, but of course the trade off was AIT temps which i saw an increase of.
the only difference between these two setups is the tune and the IC. the smaller IC is the quicker spooling graph.
