Thanks to all who made it out and :fawk: to those of you who said were coming and didn't. Unfortunately, I know a bunch of folk just didn't have their car together or something broken (go figure) so sounds like some who were there and others who couldn't make it are looking to do another day in the fall. I'm thinking late September/early October so don't say you weren't warned. Get your crap together peeps.

hm, I leave for school at the end of august

either way I got there right after you left, ask pete. I assumed you guys were going to be there till atleast 2pm, how come you left so early?

pjm 05-02-2009 09:16 PM

The time stamp on my first dyno run was 12.50.33! "X " was there by then!

I had better take the nametags next time!

Because we only had 6 cars dyno before you guys so 8 total by the end. At least 3-5 people (last minute, meaning today) and even more with a little more advanced warning bailed for one reason or another. If everyone who said they were coming to dyno did, we probably would have been there until 2-3pm like prior years, but I guess the little sprinkles scared peeps away.

Strange trip:

I destroyed a tire and rim in a manhattan pothole (it was the water you know) , went back home to switch wheels.

Got this missfire on the dyno in the 6-7k range. What is it?

On the way back up the turnpike, I get passed by a 20 foot boat doing over 85!

It defantaly sounded like spark blow out, when was the last time you changed plugs? Try lowering the gap. I averaged around 85 mph both ways, was awesome.

It was a BOAT.......the one that goes on water ...not the chevy impala kind!!!

Should that be in the express lanes?

Oh I know, I was just saying that the 95 was fairly empty today.

had I known I had two wires switched two weeks ago...

in retrospect, I could have dynoed the civic.

Bandaid fuel/ignition management are FTL. Need MS.

thirdgen 05-04-2009 08:09 AM

So needless to say I was a little dissapointed at the way my car performed, but oh well. I had a great time meeting people face to face and talking miatas and learning more MS related stuff. Maybe this question should be destined for a different post, but I made like 208.9hp at 12 psi. I currently have calibration issues, which I need the right Easytherm values for. If I iron out my issues, setup a better tune, and change my current midpipe (stock with no cat) to a 2.5" no cat no resonator; do you guys think 220 would be possible on my turbo (SR20) without changing the boost? My exhaust is currently as follows, FM Turbine outlet, FM 2.5" SS DP, stock midpipe with no cat, Racing beat dual outlet muffler.

the_man 05-04-2009 08:57 AM

Dumb question- how does one open the .drf files? I mean what program would one use?

Google is my friend.

Braineack 05-04-2009 10:34 AM

my car sucks. someone give me a new rear end and a turbo.

jayc72 05-04-2009 10:53 AM

Did you break your car AGAIN?

Braineack 05-04-2009 11:14 AM

its possible.

jayc72 05-04-2009 11:18 AM

You've got some kind of curse. :)

I will trade you my 1.6 rear end, which doesn't leak, for your leaking 1.8 rear end. I think it's a fair deal.

That said, I'd say you have a really, really awesome HP curve. It defines linearity. If only I could bend mine upward rather than leveling off at 5000 RPM.

Anybody got more photos? I'm an idiot who forgot a camera, so I'm relying on you guys.
