And does this dyno read lower/higher/similar to a dynojet like at the old MT dyno dayz?

reads about 12% lower than the dynojet we used at ACA.

here's how he did against his prior setup on Nov 13th 2010 at 10psi:

all we need to do is get his EBC working and he's lost nothing over 4K.

After reviewing logs there were a few things that made me miss my 398hp benchmark:

2-3* less timing under boost
4psi less boost (actually 19psi at redline today vs 23)
Mt drag radials which do suck up hp
11:1 vs 12:1 AFR which does cost a bit of power

Good news bears is that my engine did a pull to 8500 without kerplooeys.

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses. You just need a tractor turbo on your car.

Excuses? I wanted to be there, but I didn't have electric at home from lunchtime on Thursday until mid Saturday afternoon. What does that have to do with my car? Nothing.

I am nonplussed. The pull was done in 4th not 5th. I have a 6 speed. Does that affect anything?

it would only effect the rpms not the output.

Lulz, speaking of...

Had a great time and glad to meet some of you in person - the boost is wanted more now

I am a little skeptical about my AFR readings though, I plan to re-dyno the car at another DD dyno at some point just to get a point of comparison. I'll just avoid top end Wangan runs in the meantime.

I'm no mad scientist when it comes to this sort of thing but I would find it odd that an intake and muffler would cause such a lean condition as speculated - are all Miatas running around with intakes/full exhausts and stock fuel horribly lean? Hmmm...

I dont trust those. I know during Shueind's runs (I think just after yours) the WB stopped reporting and they reset the machine. Without any changes to the fuel map, the dyno plot reported 1 full point leaner than the last logged run. This was more inline with his LC1.

I've always found that dyno to log richer than I am.

yeah that's a lot better!

The dyno was super helpful for me. moved the MS vacuum line to the middle of the manifold and it smoothed out the MAP. AFR still fluctuates a lot but better now!

still to fix - high idle, random afr spikes...
