Thanks to Saint Foo for the hospitality over the weekend, and for letting me "drive" his car. We didn't place as well as we had dreamed, but we had FUN, and that's what counts.
I was out to lunch and lost all day Saturday, disgracing my name and anyone else who drives a Miata. Foo did well, but really couldn't do anything with the alien ship that was our "competition." For Sunday, we made some changes to find more drive off, and rear grip in general, and the car felt great. I finally knew where the course went, and felt like I could actually drive the car. I made a decent third run, and was on a flying fourth run when I got greedy and spun in the last corner coming to the lights.
Not only did I get to meet up with mt guy Foo, but we got together with Brain and Shuiend on Friday night, and got some chow. It was a cool weekend all around, even if the results were not there.
BTW, foo's car is wicked fast, a testament to what that "little" 2560R can do when everything else is working right. I did a couple of rolling 60-105 runs on the highway, and it is alien quick. LOL at Foo doing everything he could to keep up in my LSx powered Silverado!
A quick pic from Sunday:

And here was our competition:
A snipped Outlaw-style wing, supercharged BMW v6, 315s rear rubber, carbon-fiber front....Serious Bidness!
