BOOOO.

I dunno if 13 hours worth of driving and gas is worth it just to watch..

You can usually get a ride with an instructor in the time trials group when we are not instructing. Can't wait to see some of the cars...mine is a bare shell in the garage right now. Picking up my new motor at the race.

However, during down time, they will be happy to provide service to any Miata owner who requests it. GHM has years of experience providing track-side support for SPEC Miata, MX-5 Cup, TT and HPDE. You'd be amazed at what they've repaired and how fast they got their customer's car back on the track.

GHM is not a sponsor, nor do they work for free. It just gives me a sense of security knowing that if something breaks on my Miata, there is someone at the track who can fix it.

If anyone is hesitant to participate in the Texas Miata Challenge because they're worried about being stranded in Angleton, TX, don't be. GHM is on your side. :bigtu:

I can vouch for clint and kevin.
Gas head has been working on my miatas for at least 10~11 years.

There is no link on the sign up page for co-driving. Where do I pay to co-drive?

at the event, no need to pre-register for that.

hustler 01-24-2010 06:28 PM

This just in:
Put a ball valve in the heater line so it won't run too cold on the way down
brigning Johnwag over to listen to my lifters
bought bolts for the trailer box
bought strap for the skinny tires on the trailer
driving down to rharris' crib on friday night

Hopefully the car doesn't come apart.

spoolin2bars 01-24-2010 10:05 PM

good job. can't wait to: :skid: then :winner: and finally :friday:

supposed to be mid 50's, might wanna drop a psi or two. i'm running 9psi unless more is needed.

hustler 01-24-2010 11:41 PM

john says valve clatter is normal, see you faggettes on Saturday. I may have to order a 15psi spring just in case I need it.

rharris19 01-25-2010 12:00 AM

If it is the 38mm I have a 10psi large and 7psi small that you can use.

jacob300zx 01-25-2010 12:39 AM

My beater is almost ready for battle. Just need to redo the rear suspension, get an alignment, and bolt the front end on. Spent the afternoon chasing a grounding issue on the trailer and tonight hooking up the trailer brake control on the new hauler. Can't wait for this festivis for the restofis...

jacob300zx 01-25-2010 01:34 AM

Anybody have a grill, small fire pit, and a canopy? We need to really gypsy it up next weekend. Also should we all grow beards this week and bring out the boots? We need to look tough to scare all of the Justin Timberlake Cali guys.

spoolin2bars 01-25-2010 02:44 AM

we have an easy-up tent and a small grille, but an extra grille and some folding chairs could be useful.

hustler 01-25-2010 09:15 AM

I'm in the Timberlake crew.

I'm running on 99-wheels with 205 nt-01's because I ran out of time and logistics to get the big rubbers mounted.

jacob300zx 01-25-2010 10:04 AM

I'm on 205 RA1's no biggie.

On a 6.5" wheel? Its a little sketch, but its all I know. Hopefully its warm enough to get tires to hook up.

Can I get 93-octane fuel at the track?

They do, but its a liitle pricey. Bring extra gas cans so we can make gas runs through out the day, or ball out of control and run 103. Where in the F*ck are your 9" 6UL's and 225's? Go get them mounted and balanced...

How much life is left on those 205 nt01's? I might be interested in them if they have tread left
