I'll be registering late as well. I have to be sure about a million things (mostly not the car) are taken care of before I can commit.

You guys ready? There's a bunch of non challenge Miata gonna be there. Needs recruits for 2011. Next issue is timing. I'm gonna ask a friend if I can borrow his beacon type lap timer, but I'm not sure he still has it. Worst case, I'll stopwatch those without traqmates or GPS. Laptimers.

I'll have a GPS lap timer so no worries there. I am still a definite maybe on attendance.

I already paid, talked to daddy, and apparently we're bringing the motor coach. Can I sleep at the track in the coach the night before?

I'm 90% non going to HHR the following day due to funds and ASE inspection. This was a hard month with the planned $300 in SS lines, but the unplanned root canal, broken TV, AWR swaybar mounts, and thrashed bushings were not planned and were very expensive.

Not for an open track day. If they had an open track day before your event on the weekend, then you can, but no Thursday arrivals. Make sure you will have no issue with the motor home getting through the tunnels as I dont know if or when they will open the truck inlet for an open track day. Max clearance for the left tunnel is 11'6''

Yeah, anyone with a newer android phone like the vibrant / galaxy s phone can download the trackmaster app for $8. I have it and it worked great at first, but now it always says it had GPS interference. Supposedly it's my 1st Gen android phones fault. Although, now that I think about it, i think it did work right as far as lap times at the last tws event. The section where the start/finish line was at worked so it was right on with my amb times, it just didn't give me any useful info on the rest of the track. Plus with the newer phones you can use a Bluetooth GPS for better resolution.

I think the car is actually ready, aero and all. I just took it for a quick test spin and all systems are go. It would have been a better test to take it to H2R but the ChumpCars are there today so that is not an option.

Holy **** I just might actually make it to another Miata Challenge race but this time with a car that can complete more than one lap. I'm very glad it is at TWS where I can really stretch this car's legs.
