And thats is why I stopped posting "I'll trying to be ready for the next event." I was just trying to chime in on how to possible get more participation.

I do know what I am missing, I have enough friends that i have watched, helped, and I have worked some corner stations at track days to be able to see the fun that it is.

You guys have fun in August. I can tell you for sure that TxMC nor I will be there in August.

Plab, lol... you really don't know. And that's okay, but let me put it this way. You can watch all the **** in the world, hell you can watch it live, cheer on your buddy or whatever. But until you dip your own dick into a real *****....you..really..don't...know! It's about the feeling you get when you're doing it. I try to get that feeling everytime, sometimes I don't get that feeling all day then BAM, 1 good session. Aaaahhhhh, satisfaction.
And the track is pretty fun too! Lol..

^ +993 Those that know... Know! It is all about sacrifices... Hell, I missed a whole season just so I could be assured to be out next season. Priorities and minor details... everything else is just waiting.

Great metaphor

+1 on that sentiment. There is nothing like it, and you really have no idea what it is like until you try it. All the in-car videos and racing sims cannot replicate it. Plus, that feeling one gets after putting together a great lap, or placing well after a hard race, is fantastic.

My name is ZX-Tex, and I am an adrenaline junkie. It is a genetic predisposition, so why fight it?

I ran TWS and HHR back to back and went home with bursitis in my shoulders, bruises on both thighs, a bruised shoulder...and never felt better in my life. There is no substitute.

Or how about passing an expensive sports car so it feels like racin'?

Here go a little video I threw together of one session during the TxMC 7. Maybe this'll kinda' show what it's like. It's a little long and boring, but there's a payoff at the end.

Then you decided that you needed to install bushings the following weekend with your bursitis and strained labia ,in my workspace, so that I could do half of the work with my bum knee and strained hip flexors all in preparation for ECR Toy Run. bastard.

I would have felt much better if I didn't pull that motor with you the day before, lol.

I'm still mad at myself for not managing to get in on this action. I was so close back in January, and then decided to turn the car back into a street ride. After that it was back to stock.

My hope is for next season that it's cheaper/easier to track an n/a car. If I can find the time around school, work and famiry.
