It's coming up quick, Saturday April 30th at my favorite Tx. track TWS. We'll be running CCW which is the "normal" direction, although i haven't run that direction since last april. The last 2 times we ran TWS last year were both CW, so it's gonna take a few laps to get re-aquianted. I think the man (or machine) to look out for this round is gonna be zx-tex with his ls1 powered beast. He seems to have gotten the bugs worked out and the suspension sorted at msr-cresson. As a matter of fact he dropped more time on sunday (nasa tt) at cresson which put him within a tenth of last events winner. The question will be will he find the time when it counts on saturday? I will be trying a new bumper which might kill some speed on the front straight in exchange for mph in all the fast corners. Only issue will be if adding a gurney flap to my wing will be enough to balance the extra downforce up front. And will it slow me down too much on the frt. straight and hurt lap times instead of help? Hustler is getting faster every event. sixace, last years event winner set a fast pace, jeff_man's car, easily the fastest non v8 challenge car will be right there, especially if j-wags gets behind the wheel.
All the street class cars should be neck and neck at this track.

All in all, it should be one hell of a gunfight!

Btw, please sign-in with me sat. morning or even fri. evening. (i should be there by 6pm on fri.) i need to know who, what class, car# and if you have transponder/gps or not. I also have some of the new 2011 TxMC stickers for those that were waiting for white vinyl.

We are building spec cars, but I still have my yellow N/A car. I would come to this one but the wife has a soccer tournament in San Antonio that weekend. I finally get the car tuned Tuesday and I am hoping for 165rwhp. Still need to weigh it too, but probably around 1930lbs. I'm excited.

 

i forgot about that. 165whp would be great in a car that lite. maybe you can bring it out to harris hill in june. that's gonna be our first solo event. plus i think they are gonna try and have some spec miata group also in case some of the guys cars are done. either way, we gotta see that beast!

I've been domesticated. I have a 2½ year old daughter, and on Monday, my second daughter arrived. Now all my weekends are spent with my daughters.

The 0086 is still running, though. Maybe I can steal a Friday some month and attend an open track day at TWS. Who's with me?

 

i know kids are great, but you have to have a day for yourself once in a while to keep your sanity. for sure we'll be going to tws for some otd's.
