I used a Chevy work van to tow my car down south last summer and got 16mpg. I figured that was pretty decent for a tow vehicle.

That is exactly why I wanted this one, lol. NHTSA says it gets 17mpg without the pull. I thought about a Tahoe, but this makes more sense. I don't have the cash right now, maybe by the end of summer. I need to be smoking briskets and drinking more at the track...rather than retreating to hotels.

I bought my Thomas bus for $2000. You should get one...........If you know diesels, have extra space for a 35' long vehicle, and ball out of control. I am still working on that last one, but as Meatloaf said, 2 outta 3 ain't bad.

I really do like that van. It does look like it would be fun and easy to customize a little more.

you do know that tt is split up into 2 groups right? you'll be with ttr/u and comp school cars. the rest of us tta-f and hpde4 will be in the other. you forgot to add the comp. school cars. at last count i had 42 and know of 4 more not listed yet! but 2 groups so it's okay.

Huh? They are not showing two TT groups on the schedule. Unless you just mean the grid order.

in an email from nasa it said that tt was going to be split. i assumed that was the reason behind the 15min. sessions. i can't see the schedule from here, the pdf file won't load. if they're not split up, we're gonna be in trouble. counting a few buddies that are definitely gonna be there, we're looking at 47cars in TT! not sure how that's gonna work. although there was talk that if there were enough drivers we might run the slightly larger track. i think it's 3.5 miles and it uses nascar turns 3-4 which means we would topping our cars out before the start/finish line, and only a strip of it was repaved smooth. that would be scary cool, that is some serious banking! all the high horsepower cars would have a big advantage if they had the gearing and ***** to use it. lol

Reading fail. Looks like seperate sessions for first "2" sessions on Sunday, which makes little sense due to lower counts that day.

Spoolin, will the first "warmup" TT session count for TxMC scoring? There may be some issues to work out due to length and number of session differences between TT and DE. Wags and Jeffman running Utl in DE, etc. etc.

OK I did not get that e-mail. I hope they do split it up.

Likely or not running the banking would be pretty awesome. If you have never driven on it, the angle of tilt is impressive. I snuck a drive on it once while coming back from a corner worker station on the back straight. The officials did not like that very much but it was worth it.

A long time ago I corner worked an 'Aggie-Cross' where they were using the 3-4 banking. It was pretty impressive how fast some of the cars were going when they crossed the finish line.

OK and now for some logistics. Are we going to pit in the usual spot in the infield, on the far left?

Hey has anyone noticed that the Super Miata web site links to Texas MOTOR Speedway for the TxMC this weekend? Also I get database errors whenever I try to go to any of the forums.

Yes, are you coming in Friday?

If we get to use the high speed banking I'm going to freak out...that is the ****.

If anyonw likes MMA, we might go into to town Saturday for the fight and a cold one. Also, dont forget to grab hotdogs, hamburgers, or pre cooked ribs from HEB. We will have several grills rocking all weekend.
