Wow sorry to see. I always wondered how a miata would take rear impact. How fast was he going?

So how do both of your hands still work?

When I was in an accident the body shop quoted me 2 weeks to fix everything. The first day after the third week I started calling every ******* day about when my car would be done.

When I had the miata done it was by a buddy of mine, which happen to be our next door neighbor down at the shop. I think that had A LOT to do with the time frame.

Before he closed up and went down south I had him repaint the car a 2nd time, in it's current black/blue theme. Total cost to me? I traded him my old '99 envoy with a blown motor. lol

The first time around though took like 8-9 months. I went over almost daily to check on the progress until I was sick to my stomach over it.

I guess knowing that it is getting fixed "right" by a very good shop on someone else's dime make me feel OK? And I mean "ok" at best. Not exactly happy, but I'm getting the bumper painted at the same time so it will finally match perfectly for the first time in 5 years. I also had the hood completely repainted to get rid of the rockchips and the car finally got an alignment for the first time in 3 years lol. So it's not all that bad. The damage was purely cosmetic- all wheels and suspension were unscathed.

Though I've been contemplating putting the car up for trade when I get it back, I think not having it has let my mind wonder onto other cars
