What changes in car setup did you make from your last vids? Is this just new springs? How is the car rotating now?

Really good lookin run, brain.

Yeah just the springs and a smaller turbo. Felt so much better, I could really rotate it when I wanted to. If you look at my video at :45, that pointer cone was a bitch to get around, I was able to just make it happen with a little trail braking and setup perfectly for the slalom.

So you're easily rotating but are you also easily oversteering now? Are you still not using the rear sway?

You're really making me want to rid myself of my FM springs.

You should be able to hit 60 or 70 in a fast car in the smallest autocrosses IMO. Most of these clubs are scared to push the envelope. Needz moar ballzy designerzes. Or larger paved venues.

Fast cars on our autocrosses can top 90 in the fast sections. That's why a non-turbo slow-*** Miata suffers so badly compared with the high horse cars. That is also why I run with the guys that I do. The other local autocross groups are pantywaists. These are car guys first. They have rules, but they want to maximize fun. And if you don't get 15-20 runs in a day, then you aren't lining up. Joe Perez can vouch for all of this.

we have **** for lots in our area, people are dumb, and we get about 4-8 runs a day max. its almost not worth it.

here's all the pretty pictures I took in a more easy to view format: http://s46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...TOX%208-29-09/

Our local autox events are mostly at airports and are very fast. I usually hit rev-limiter in 3rd.

I actually sometimes prefer the tighter more technical courses and especially in the rain. I learn so much more.

That must be great, I've never got out of 2nd gear in a local auto-x, our areas are large but they make them very technical. Might have to do with the guys setting it up are mostly in the smaller lower powered cars. We do have a nice place for racing tho.

Google Maps

Thats where the NAVY parks hover crafts, look to the right of the pic for the size comparison of cars.

You wish you had 11" rotors in the front and full rear bias like me.
