Default CVAR @ TWS 2/22/09 Track Videos and Pics...56k nope

This past weekend we went to TWS for a Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing event. My dads friend let us borrow his Go Pro Hero for some track videos.

This is me in the Formula Ford Legrand. I got out a lap late and let a few lead cars past (red atlantic car, blue FF, and a red super vee). I was the fastest Formula Ford all weekend but thats not really saying much considering the people I raced were 2x or 3x older than me

Fastest time was 1:51.599 of the weekend.

Here were the results for this race

Here is my Dad in his Cooper S. It was the cars first event since complete tear down and rebuild. He had trouble finding third with the new dog box. He also was staying back to play around with his friends on the track.

YT has a ten minute max on videos and I'm not about to break the video in two pieces. I'm way too lazy to do that.

Hopefully I can get up to ECR for a track day sometime this year. We got a Z28 that my dad wants to track and one of his buddies (with the blue #71 midget shown in pics) has a C4 ZR1 that he tracks there. He has a full membership there too.

When your back in Dallas I want to get in a ride in your piece of machinery.

and no, thats a Alfa Romeo GT Junior. lawl.

I'm considering a Jr. membership at ECR. I will probably run back to Dallas on March 15th. I'd love to get out there and play with the z28 and vette, lol.

My dads friend bought a membership before it was built, he paid like 2k and got membership for life.

I think your car might be a bit quicker than the Z28 and ZR1 lol

I love those events...I used to go down there with one of my mothers coworkers that raced a 65 mustang fastback. I have been hooked on road racing ever since. Hell, I decided to go to A&M partly because TWS was right there.

I have been meaning to get out there and catch an event. You may have met the guy, he is now running a formula vee, name is Art Summerville.

Ya I know Art. He is a really cool guy. I remember back when he had his mustang.

The CVAR events are really good fun. It's not that competitive at all and most guys are just out there for the parties at night. Either way, it's always fun hanging out with old guys and hearing their stories about the **** they did when they were my age, while they smoke out of their corn cob pipes. lol.
