First time drifting since turbo install
Finally made it to an event after having the car down for almost 8 months (tons of bullshit problems). The car felt great for only being street tuned at 10psi.
Engine spec list- 1.8 swap, sr20 .80ar t25, MS v2.3, Begi reroute, rx7 440cc injectors, ARP head studs and a Cometic HG |
people still drift? when will this fad die?

How far into the video should I skip to see someone hit a wall?

Seriously though, OP did build a turbo miata and make a video of it running. That's better than at least 50% of the members right there  |

I did so right away, thanks for the warning.

oh yeah. definitely. 14.99psi will be awesome, but 15.0001 will blow your engine all over the road
I'm gonna be tolerant of the ice-skating video and not comment on it. |
If over 15psi will blow your shit, then why not just run 15psi and not a penny more?

Mainly because I don't want to deal with any headaches that could have been prevented otherwise. Why cut the turbo's life in half for a little extra horsepower when 10psi already works great for what I need? :p I figure at 14psi I'm staying in the "safe zone", so to speak.

So at 15psi, it switches to the DANGER ZONE? |

Watched the video. Honestly that looks like it definitely takes some skill. I'd never prep a car for it, but it does look like fun. You'll always get hate here for drifting but the car looks like it was running strong. Make sure to post up dyno numbers after you get it tuned.

Fun to watch for a minute. Decent linking of drifts, seemed to not just be all power. Liked that.
