I'm not an animal rights activist or anything even close, but after working on a farm for over a year and being around the animals so much while taking care of them, I frown upon that chicken video.

I am 100% dead serious when I say I would beat someones face in for throwing around baby chicks like that. How do those ******* sleep at night, get a real job you worthless ******* wastes.

No animal should be treated like that.

The good news is that free-range eggs only cost about double what the 'factory' eggs cost.

Three bucks a dozen instead of a dollar fifty... Totally not a big deal.

Taste better, too. Seriously.

So what is the right way to dispose of baby chickens (assuming there was a legit reason for them being declared mulch worthy)? Teeny tiny little coffins? Have to imagine that getting ground up into goo is pretty quick and painless.

Efficiency can seem horrible sometimes. Now if this was a video of guys using the chicks as golf ***** it would be a different story.

I forget how much the farm was charging for the eggs I was collecting everyday, but I know it was outrageous.

I would collect eggs morning, noon, and night throughout my day. Then have to hand wash them all one by one and package them myself. Drive to the local market and drop them off.

Sometimes when I would go, there would be people that would see me bringing in the eggs and they would maul me to get as many as they could. I am 100% for local farming. But I eat KFC and Tyson chicken too.

I understand that its "efficient" to mulch them.....but that doesn't make it right.

it's not just the cost and conscience part that makes the non-factory stuff better. it's the impact on the environment, job market, your health, and more.

The boil video was funny, but the dumb chick that kept saying OMG repeatedly got annoying fast. I have seen cow cysts before. And the chicken video was on the cruel side. I had a great-uncle with a small chicken farm and can remember playing with them as a kid, but also remember personally chopping off their heads and plucking them when he gave us some each year.

My favorite zit was the subcutaneous pimple on a cow skin in the tv show "Dirty Jobs" (at a tannery). He squoze it and exuded a 2-3" column of semi-solidified pus.

Congratulations on being insulated and retarded. Consequently you also fit into the victim category.

Judgeing people based on their responses to a video on a miata forum is in fact very naive. I am in no way ignorant. The ignorant one is you for seeing this video as wrong and if it bothers you that much, then ******* do something about. Become vegan and protest all grocery stores and all restaurants in the United States.

If we all had the same opinions and beliefs then nothing would be accomplished. The way they do business is "efficient".

Who are you to judge me? Am I considered to be "less of a person" because I laugh at the fact that people bitch, moan and complain about these videos, yet, they do absolutely nothing to prevent this from happening.

If I am some how "retarded" then please lead the way and stop this happening instead of sitting on your stupid *** all day and bitching about my so called "Non-Sensitive" ways.

MMM, Baby chicken mulch. I don't really see the issue. Sure its a bit mean and cruel, but how else do you treat a several minute old chicken that is about to be killed anyway? Carry it on a padded pillow, very gently and carefully, give it the best food, then smash it with a hammer? I'm just not willing to sacrifice my food for the well being of some farm produced and killed animals. I may feel a little bad about eating it if I watched the animal it came from go through the process, but as I don't see it, why even worry about it. I'm not an animal rights activist clearly, but I do have a soft spot for a lot of animals and get furious seeing them harmed. Cows, chickens and pigs are not three of them though.

That's funny that you see it as a belief issue.

But you still dont get it.

I'm a meat eater. There's nothing wrong with eating meat. Humans were bred to do it for millenia. I love eating meat. I'm looking into buying a smoker box for my grill. I just ordered 6 pounds of Wagyu Tri-tip for this coming weekend.

You're an idiot if you think that responsible meat production is tantamount to veganism. And "efficient" doesn't mean the same as "safe" or "healthy" or "tastes better". I'd like to think that my personal health is way more important than efficiency. I dont eat to put money in their pockets last time I checked.

lets test your ignorance or illustrate your acceptance:

1. how many individual cows' meat is in one mcdonalds hamburger?

2. list two major differences between 100% grass-fed cattle and corn-fed cattle. exclusive of their own diet duh.

3. what percent of ALL antibiotics in the US are fed to livestock and why?
