Ken Block didnt hop in that car and do that. Hes been driving that thing and similar cars for years now. he has the best cars money can buy, the best crew, the best trainers. There is no reason to beleive he has any exceptional talent other than being rich.

Hes kind of like Batman. No superpowers, just lots of money and *****.

With time, Im sure I could do what he does in these videos. He is just lighting up the tires and trying to drive it around. There is nothing special about that. and seeing that he is in the WRC and not always in last place, Im sure these videos are really not difficult for him. Being fast on any given rally stage would be exceptionally more difficult than drifting and doing doughnuts on tarmac.

Drifting through a tarmac corner at 20 mph may require a fair bit of skill, but going through the same corner on gravel at 3 times that speed is on a whole different level.

Also, this is far more entertaining to me than anything Ken Block has or probably ever will do:

It must be really tough for some of you guys. I mean, it's got to be a lot of work taking yourselves so seriously all the time. It's like bitching that Arnold Schwarzenegger lacked depth as an actor in Predator and any number of "real" actors could have done better than him if they had the same production staff and blockbuster backing.

No one beats Arnold. I probably wont even see the Total Recall remake.

Jesus guys, I'm not saying hes an amazing driver at all. You put ANYBODY in a 600+whp awd rally car and have them do the ---- that's in that video and it will be entertaining(to me at least). He jumped that thing 60+ feet on the streets of San Fran, how is that not ------- cool?

Maybe I'm just a ricer at heart, but that video was badass.

NOW of course ken block isn't some amazing driver to be idolized - nor should he. However without him I wouldn't have gotten to see what I just saw and enjoyed - where else can we watch a rally car rip up the streets of one of the most iconic American cities? Despite all the gimmicks, that was very enjoyable for me.

And no I don't drink monster energy drinks and wear flat billed DC hats, nor will I.

Anyone on here drive half as good as ken block? If so let me know so i can call VSC and let them know to build you a car quickly and tell David Higgins to drop out of NEFR this weekend. Seriously? Your comments are probably the most worthless ignorant childish yet amusing comments I have read in some time.

And do any of you compete or even spectate rally's for that matter? Because Ken block is most definitely not hated in the rally community.
Keep hating....its getting you somewhere.

This morning my 15 minute commute turned into 1 hour commute b/c of bay bridge traffic. All I could think about was Ken Block and dack slapping him.

What buggs me is hte perseption many have that he is "THE SUPERMAN DRIVER" While in truth what he is doing is doing it over and over and over again and then "it's a wrap, take 32 is it for this section"

I'd like him to do it more like this film is done

Totally! That's one reason I could never find things like Bullitt or Ronin or The Transporter entertaining. I mean, come on! It's so obvious they used all kinds of multiple takes for those chase scenes. I wish they would do more like the ones I see on the LA evening news.

Kenneth Moen Hillclimb Drift Lillehammer - YouTube
On a more serious note, thanks for posting that video. I found it very entertaining.

However, if it ever becomes wildly popular or the driver finds great recognition and success on the internet, I will immediately have to decide it's lame and trying to hard and note that I was watching Getaway in Stockholm way before anyone ever heard of Kenneth Moen .

I see it more like a singer using Autotune, sure it's nice to listen to. But I still feel it's wrong some how :-/

Now for some real racing

that actually can't "sing" when put to the test and was discovered, molded and paid for by a huge corporation as a marketing/advertising/money making machine.

reminds me of christina aguleria, britney spears, n*sync, 98°, selena gomez, justin bieber, lady gaga, etc etc etc.

did you know Rihanna only makes 6%, where her accountants make 30% off her. lol.
