A few have asked, so here's how my car sounds. I hope this satisfies you:

Softtop and windows are up.

Wait a second...was that Ryan Gosling? Was that a scene from the movie "Drive", but with music dubbed over?

He learned everything from me. Even his great taste in music.

Too quiet.

Greddy blow off valve takes me back. Buffon has one on his car and I giggled every time it went off.

It could stand to be quieter. It's not the noise you make, but the bite you take.

you have much to learn padiwan.

Anything not silent could stand to be quieter.
What else do you have in there to quiet things down? Cat? Resonator? Re-Route?

200 cell 3" cat and a 3" louvred resonator that's pretty pointless.

it used to sound like this and made me want to die:

notice it still "sounds" the same, same tone and whatnot, but there's tons more low-end drone and its louder overall. you could hear it idling if inside my house and it was unpleasant to drive around town with it. It did not pass the wife test. It made heads turn, in the bad Honda way.

but nothing will ever match how god awul this configuration was:

I do think my borla duals were too quiet:

and restrictive as hell. I was told when I would drive by on the track, you couldn't hear my car whatsoever and they called me the Phantom.

I came to the conclusion (based on other cars tho) that cat/resonator really doesn't quiet down exhaust noise as much as just softens it up, makes it less raspy/droney.

I'm thinking the "big can" + one of those flappers jason raves about = probably the least amount of noise? Is that wrong?

correct, the cat/res removed a ton of raspiness.

it really didn't do much. Cat had a bigger effect.

Yep- mine too- I think it's coming out on the rebuild. The 150 cell cat is staying in. Should be enough.
