7.8 psi. I was running really lean though. I ran MLV after that 5th run and it increased the fuel in that row by about 1-2 points. I did that after I got off the dyno. I guess I could've stayed on and ran it there, but I didn't notice it til afterward.

ArtieParty, what PSI was your money pull done at? Is your engine built? Wondering what I will get with my built 1.8 still using the 2560.

Pulls 1-3 were done at about 14psi. The log shows it jumping from 13.2 to 14.0 and back to 13's the entire time. Boost controller is hooked up at turbo housing and not IM like I saw in another thread. Maybe I'll change that one day if I get bored.

Thanks. EBC or MBC?

I think my dream of ~275whp with the 1.8/2560 is unattainable. I may have to pick up a larger chinacharger and sell off the Garrett.

BTW, I know there was a guy on here getting big power with the 2560. I can't find the thread, but I think Brain was associated/helped tune it. It has a BEGI i.m. Did this thing go to the dyno yet? Anyone know where that thread is?

Both. Im running a Hybrid MBC/EBC in parallel.

275whp with the 1.8/2560 is very obtainable. I was doing this before at like 15 or 16psi with a stock 99 head, 95 bottom end, and a gutted 99 intake manifold. That produced 275whp and 263tq.

You're talking about Paul. he did 300rwhp at 14psi. yes he's dynoed a bunch of times on this dyno, that day he was there with 2 cars, just not his 300rwhp car. IMHO Brain didn't have anything to do with his tune either.

The following is 14psi vs 17psi. looks like 14psi is max'ed out on his 2560 as +3psi only got him 11hp but more torque obviously. I cool setup would be 17psi tapering to 14 at redline, if he wanted to push the reliability too.

Also, I made 268rwhp @12psi with the 2560 on the same dyno and a theoretically less flowing manifold, stock '94 1.8. ABSURDflow parts help a lot in getting your goals. My 2560 spooled almost as good as Jes' 2554'ed 1.8 with BEGI parts.

Paul's dyno run database, all at the same dyno place (runs from last week are not there yet):
Index of /dynoruns

You can search for past dyno days to get more info.

I tuned ed's cruise cells, and abused the absurdness of it.

Can you dudes point me to the thread on Ed's car? And I will hunt out Paul's, as well.

Thanks, Arty, Brain, and Tim, for the info. I have something to work with and work toward. I just got a call from my engine builder, he has yet to crack the case yet. I'm very anxious to see what I end up with. I am thinking of this build as a test bed to see what the upper limits of that 2560 is, and sooner or later will be in for all new plumbing on the intake side to see if that helps us out. For now, it's all '97 bottom and top end, and I will probably use the summer to build up a nice 99 head. Once the 1.8 is built I will have no problem running it at 17psi+, so we'll see what that will put out.

Why would I think he's talking about Ed's when Paul's made ~25 more hp on a very similar setup?

Um, anyone have a linky to the build threads for either of these guy's cars? Or at least their screen-names on here? Real names are cool, but I don't know who they are.

Paul's build can be seen on his website.

Miatamx5.com

Once you're there, click on CARS, CURRENT, THE MACHINE III (RED 94)

That should give you a pretty good idea of what Paul's got in there now.

yeah I never made a build thread either and never posted pics of my car either except for the dyno day last week. I feel like I'm oldschool on this forum lol
and I really don't get how people take pictures on their builds, my hands get so greasy when I work on my car I could never take pictures.

My build threads got deleted by Philip. I had one for the twins and for Paul's car, at least for the turbo/downpipe/exhaust side of it.

Let me find saint_foo's is still here, let me find it...

I did find Paul's:

And a pic of Paul's first turbo setup (MSM based, ohh nice downpipe I didn't remember making that) and the twins on his car which lasted about 15 miles.

You guys are the best.

Tim, I'll probably be calling on you when I can scrape a few schekel together after my winter build. Maybe when I'm building up my as yet un-acquired 99 head. I think I really want to keep the 2560 for spool in autox, and seeing I can probably make 300+/- with a new IM and some other goodies makes me hopeful.
