Most thorough review of a car, ever.

Barnes & Noble sells these for something like $11/issue. Expensive, but a great read, though. It also previews the show a bit -- a few months ago there was a writeup on the boat that James raced Richard in. One weird thing is that there is always a huge buyers guide for the last 70 pages or so.

The very first thing that crossed my mind when they hit those B&W shots of the mall interior- "Where's the IL state police, and where's the Blues Brothers music?"
Ha! I missed that the first time 'round. Re-watched it, and Jezza's comments make a lot more sense now. Sad.... After having burned down TG's sets two years ago, they've now been reduced to writing sarcastic letters. I wonder if there will be a reaction when FG comes back on?
Amusingly, life once again imitates art:

You'd be surprised at how well electrical systems hold up in total submergence. Hydrolock, maybe. Hard to tell from the editing, but I don't think the hood was every totally submerged, save for that initial washover when they first exited the landing craft. Depending on the location of the inlet to the airbox, I can see it working. Traction might be an issue...
Still, it's TV. If Top Gear did somehow fudge the landing, would it make the video any less fun?
It's back up.
All in all, one of the best episodes in a long, long time. Utterly Epic.

Nobody really has a problem with somebody who has been a lurking member for an extended period of time bringing up their post count to post in the classifieds... but bringing up a 4week old thread (or several) to do so is pretty lame. I'm sure you could have managed to find 10 useful things to say in posts that are at least on the first page of a forum. It's not so much about what you did, it's how you did it... bad karma.
