Hot pit the car and get space. What you did deserved a black flag. Period.

Regarding the bit earlier...

They told you they wanted someone to drive your car to show you? Made you do that? I would have told them to **** and reimburse me for my entire event.... unless it happened after you passed against the rules which you knew existed... and they merely wanted an instructor in the car or something tame like that.

Listen here mother ******, I am missing multiple keys on this computer because I spilled hot chocolot on it during passionate sex with my ex-gf that you told me to break up with. I don't have a period, I use CTRL-V. Nor do I have a question mark, or a backslash. So next time you wanna talk **** to me on this board, bro, I'll be at your apt waiting for you after work w\ a "spiked ******* bat".

I can only pit so many times for space before running with several vipers on the track gets old. At some point the school has the responsibility to flag/radio the guy who isn't looking at the mirrors to get the **** off the track. I pitted twice the session that I passed the ------ who swerved at me on the pass, putting me off the track.

I've had to live with 2 instructors since I put the motor in and both times they demanded driving the car. One was successful and I was pretty uncomfortable because that car is fast as ****.

Then if you hadn't, its definitely time to talk with the organizers. Which I suspect you did.

At least the Hot pitting would get you away from the main swerving asshat.

I was behind a ******* AMG C whatever at the little track up here in the wife's n/a. He would pull me half a straight, and no ****, I would catch him up before the apex of the first turn under braking. Slow joyride through the countryside ensued. I hotpit, wait like 30 seconds (should be half lap), go back out. No more than two laps later, same 600hp AMG is trying to become my hood ornament, again. He had the ***** to shrug his hands at me while pointing me by on the straight, all while never lifting. They should allow us to beat these fuckwads after sessions.

Punch line, hot pitting only works at big tracks. Ask me why, again. I know all their license plate numbers.

If I paid good money to be at that HPDE and had that guy assigned to me, not only would I demand a new instructor, I would do my darndest to make sure the organizers didn't invite him back. Most track groups keep instructor wait lists because there are more interested instructors than there are paying students. It's bad business for the organizers to have pissed off students and believe me, one ******* instructor will not be missed. I help staff a smaller HPDE organizing group and situations like that are pretty rare, but we've quietly "un-invited" a couple of instructors over the years. On the flip side, there were a couple of students that were kind of "blacklisted" for a few years from several east coast HPDE groups due to incidents involving track rage (a.k.a. red mist) and car-car contact.

If you've been to >1 track day you will always run into someone that you met at a previous event, at least that's my experience. It's a close enough community that if you are a problem child, word will eventually get around. For that reason I would probably choose to be more tactful than "**** off *******," but it wouldn't get you kicked out.

I would never let someone else drive my car, just like I wouldnt expect them to let me drive their car. My very first instructor event I went to years ago was in my Galant VR-4 which was pushing around 450 hp at the time. I got to know my instructor before ever getting into a car with him. We did a walk around the car before ever hitting the track. And, so he had a chance to show me a couple of things before taking riding with me on my first lap he let me ride with him in his full raced prepped RX-7. The very first session out in my car he was very surprised at what my car could do and how well it handled. He just assumed I had some 4 door sedan. Had no idea what a GVR-4 was. My point, he was wonderful and did things proper. I truly wish I could remember the guys name but it was over 10 years ago. Not anyone who can race a car, or says they can, should be able to be an instructor. Someone should "test" them out and decide whether or not they are fit for the job.

BTW, that little n/a, power steering, a/c, uhp tires did really well on track. I was never ashamed. If I just wanted a track car, n/a is what I would want. Something like Jacob's dirty pants. Just spend the goofy money I'm spending on boosted stuff instead on Xida and a Giken.

Chris, for that I should meet you up in Lincoln and we can see which color is faster!

Being serious, the really eagle-eyed can actually see a major ******* problem with my car, beyond the very obvious. Hint: look very closely in the area within 6 inches of the brake master. Easy fix, but I just discovered it.

I just assumed you had cut that line in preparation for installing a line lock. That the line I put mine in.

It would be great to see some more miatas in Lincoln even if they are the wrong color.

Illusion, that line being cut. But, hint 2, that one is connected to the prop valve.
