..Because you spent as much as it would cost for a beastly built engine/turbo setup, a 5.0 or L33 swap on cosmetic ****.
And you installed coilovers backwards.
I'm 85% done with ricer shenanigans. I'm still going to touch up some molding/paint, add NB2 taillights & MSM rear lip.
Then I'd love to spend the same amount of $$ & effort on reliable power.

Eeehh... I'm get my car painted right now with some, yes, airbrushing. BUT I did hit my 225rwhp and all the go fast crap (for now) before spending anything on paint. This guy is awesome and the car really is his 'sponsor' car... meaning he's new to the area and want to get his name out, so the job is money-wise, cheap. Yeah, I warned him about wadding it up in the armco, but he says we'll just do another. It's getting a Jap zero battle fighter scheme. Nothing wrong with cosmetics... as long as it goes just as fast to match! Looks great, can't tell which is the 4x4 though in the first pic
I wonder why

^^ Those are MSM headlights and painting the housings black comes out looking nothing like MSM lights.
Al..weren't you the one who installed the Ricelands backwords and posted up on CR ?
Good to see you coming to your senses about sensable mods.

That's what I like...I wasn't trying to say "you need to paint your lights like msm lights." Otherwise that's what I would have said. If he did them a graphite color I think they would also look good but imo would be better if he did them black and got rid of the headlight covers.

I know the headlight bezels are kind of fabulousss.. but the lights are new & I didn't want to chance melting ****.
But definitely, painted housings > OE Mazda bezels.
Now the saving for power begins.

at 220* for 10 minutes or even 20 minutes you won't melt them. I did it with audi lights and honda lights with no problems. And the audi lights are worth a couple hundred a pop :( If you want to do it go for it! I think it would look best if you did the same pattern the covers do and maaaaybe tint the turn signal lens on the inside/backside if it pops out. That's just me though.
Want fries with that?

What's wrong with cosmetic ****? It's just what some people want to do. I want my car to look nice, I'm not going to spend all my money on cosmetic ****, but if someone wants to, why the **** shouldn't they?
