Breaking my lurker status.
While thread lurking is usually my MO until I am more familiar with a forum, I am attempting to break that bad habit. And am bracing myself for the poo-poo to be flung my way when I say hello and show my non-turbo car.
I am Josh, in Greenville SC. Running a BRP MP62, Tein flex coils, and some other sundries a 2000SE. Bought it with this style bar on it and haven't had a free moment to get rid of it, its really only been 6 weeks or so. Currently on the path of a real roll bar, but first: need to get rid of this idle droop, and searching for a MS system. Apparently missed one this morning by a few hours. Boooooo.

Thanks for the welcome, fellas. The "stupidcharger" was my carryover from driving a supercharged Mini before this. Dealing with the issue of idle droop on a hotside SC now, I see why turbo is the preferred method on these cars!
As for your unrelated: I live near this place, and saw some nice light and a neat building while I was driving home one night. Why do you ask?

Just curious. I'm vaguely familiar with some of their equipment. I'm an electrical engineer by trade, with a background in distributed networking for broadcast A/V, and some of the stuff they make I find pretty interesting- particularly the ASRS systems.
Neat. If it wasn't apparent by my desire to take a photo of my car purely because I saw a neat shaped building and nice lighting, I am a designer and artist. I work for the company that makes a good bit of the powertools in Home Depot. Ridgid, Ryobi, Homelite, Dirt Devil and a few others. A good bit of those Ryobi One+ packages in there? We don't like to pay for models, so a bunch of them are my hands. Glamorous, right?

I'll bet that scores you all kind of points with the ladies when you're at the hardware store.
I was hoping I'd meet some locals on here! Thanks man.
I'll post it if you guys are helpful when I start fiddling with my Megasquirt.
Wait– that didn't come out right. No wonder you all use acronyms.
EDIT: purchased a MS2 enhanced last night. Now, the waiting for slow holiday delivery.

Thanks man. We are relatively okay, no broken bones at least. Sore and headed to the doctor today. Passenger went to the hospital for head wounds.
I put up with that car through the winter (it's a DD and I never bothered to put all seasons on for the cold) only holding onto the fact that spring was around the corner, and so was autocross season. I got two weeks of warm top-down weather, and now it has been taken away. Le sigh.

that sucks sooo bad man. I love that car and that color, looks great.
Did it have the 6-speed and 3.9 Torsen in it? I think some 2000SE's did... anyway, if it did, definitely buy it back from insurance and part it out, you'll make some good money back on all those parts.
Bigtime caught me off guard when I saw that photo. Damn man. Glad nobody is seriously/permanently injured.
