I'm on my 2nd miata, but this is the 1st one actually getting boosted. Not new to forced induction or prepping various vehicles for going fast. Started out as a hardcore VW guy. Still have a Gti VR6

I traded my Jetta VR6 in October forthis...
was too low to drive straight without scraping the gound. Riceland suspension and the works of a ratty build.
Sold the "cool" wheels and crappy suspension for 15x9 C3M's and Tein Flexs, OBX diff in a 1.8 rear, fixed the horrible crimping job from the wire tuck, had a non "proper" rollbar built, installed wideband, boost gauge, and finally MSPNP should be here tomorrow. Car has a 1.8 in it. The turbo setup i've had for quite a while will finally get put to use. Some of you probably know my brothers company WideOpenTuning as he used to hustle Devils Own on here. I've been a lurker that long.
I wrench on VW TDI vehicles for a living. Oficially DeNoobed

I hope that roll bar is bolted down correctly. It looks like it wants to escape and violate Asian school girls while disguised as the gym teacher.

Bar is welded in, main hoop goes to the floor behind the seat, and ties in the floor, sill, and body behind the seat. It's been criticized pretty good but I'm willing to bet most of the people doing it have cars lower than optimal or have drove on bad brakes or driven a miata with no bar. Much better welcoming here. I'll keep my build documented a little better. I left out a lot but mostly basics. Sways, ES bushings all around, 1.8 brakes etc. Have a bottle to throw in with the snail I just picked up too.

I sold those stancetastic wheels. They were cool for about a week, but too trendy. Motorsport style is more my taste though.

The 15x8 grids weren't bad, they came on the car. Just too import trendy. The current wheels I like more. Only just barely rubs at full lock.

As of 2 weeks ago. I need to get some suction on the crankcase. I did install a GTX pcv, but every seal on the motor is puking now. Spec stage 2 is slipping, which i think is probably due to rear main now leaking most likely. The car has never ever smoked or burnt any oil while N/A. It sure likes 13psi. El cheapo Evo3 GT charger. Time to yank it and put some rods in and go fast.

That rollbar really looks like overkill.

That is kind of the point. Door bars and targa bars coming in a few months.

i'd rather have overkill on a rollbar than be killed by a failbar.

holy tiny turbo batman! how much torque can one of those evo turbos push @ 13psi? I have never seen one until now, and to me they look like I can get more exhaust flow by blowing into a soda straw. However, I had a T2 for my first build, and I bet like my T2 that little ---- gets full boost pretty damn fast! Nice ride though, loving the roll bar

These turbos flow a surprising amount of air for how small they look. Doesn't fully spool until 3900 now that I'm not open downpipe anymore. I will be changing all the hardware this winter. A GT30 possibly but I have a lot of time to change my mind.
