Default Descriptive titles you say? I got a 91, with tires and no radio

So yeah, I picked up a 91 BRG to save gas money when commuting and keep miles off my jeep. Well that didn't last long, all my gas money savings when to upgrades/maintenance. Then I found this website and I suddenly want a turbo and 275 hoosiers. Right now the car sits waiting to have a 96 1.8 put in it, pretty sure I killed the 1.6 good and dead.

Current ****: LW flywheel, plain clutch (gotta upgrade when I turbo anyhow), treasurecoast miata LW hardtop, 7.5" 6UL's, 205 maxxis ma-v1's, short shifter from goodwin, started on aero work before the motor ate ****, Harddog roll bar, seats mounted to the floor, quick release and 2" dished steering wheel so that I can reach it when I'm in the car and still get out of the car easy. Trackspeed brake ducts also (had to change hubs, figured I'd put them on when access was easy).

Future plans are along the lines of 225-250 hp, affordable coil overs, complete the aerodynamic work, 800w sound system (I know sacrilegious, but I commute 112 miles in this thing), door bars, V8roadster razor brace, front strut brace, randall style cowl intake. The list is endless with these damn things.

Anyway, I'll continue lurking and reading here, I just signed up so I could see the embedded dyno charts and turbo maps.

On that note, How much air does a stock 96 flow, so that I can read these turbo charts.

Most recent photo, before the motor broke. I got in and it had a loud whistle under accleration, I was like "oh ****, somebody put a turbo in my car!, wait, why won't it rev over 3k?! I've been duped!" The vacuum leak isn't it's only issue, has a loud clatter at idle (a main bearing going out?) leaks oil, burns oil, and doesn't like to idle on cold days (too much oil on the heads is my guess). I'll figure out paint later down the road, it's number 720 in the BRG's, so I want to stick with the green just because. You can probably tell my front suspension is shot, it's about .5-1" lower than the rear that had the shocks replaced before I got it.

You've got it bad!

Cheaper than a mistress though. Or a BMW.

Point of advice. The early NA's (90 & 91) were raked like that from the factory, so just because it's not level doesn't mean it's suspension is done.

Quickly compress the suspension and watch what it does to get a better idea.

I've seriously considered just buffing out the flaking clear and waxing it to make the bare paint not look so flat. I'm not overly concerned with looks, more about the go than the show. 800 bucks for a single stage enamel? That's a nice tubular manifold.

I was glad to find y'all. m.net wasn't quite up to my standard. My other toys are 4wheel drive. My first forum was pirate4x4, rough crowd similar to here. I like the no nonsense approach y'all have.

I swear I saw a link to you selling Megasquirts on grassrootsmotorsports, do you still do that, so was that another member?
