Evo X Noob Reporting In
Hey peeps, figured I'd get in here and say what up. Originally come from the evo land but was bitten by the Miata bug after attending a track event at Harris Hill Road. I have a 95 which was kinda Mexified... and thus I attempted to rescue it and ended up looking like this. Can't see them too well but I got Wilwood BBK in the front.
A few months ago I ran into a deal for a 94 M-Edition and jumped all over it. Now I'm in the process of stocking the 95, selling it, then dropping a turbo in the 94.
Here is a pic of the Evo, currently it's sitting at Kozmic Motorsports getting a set of Kelford 214b cams, springs and all the other crap the head needs. Only thing left stock is the bottom end lol.

Spring area. Yeah I've known the guys at Kozmic for years, great group of peeps and they know their stuff. I'm planning on bringing them the Miata once it's ready for a tune and force them to do it lol.

Still not 100% sure on what turbo kit I'd like to drop in. I was thinking on the FMII w/ no electronics and then adding a Megasquirt. But I also like how the Begi S3 kit looks and they are kinda local to me. My goal is 220-250whp.

Here is a pic of my 94 as requested.
On a side note I just got back from taking the miata to the drag strip. Quite a different experience than my evo to say the least. Best run of the night was a 17.4 @ 80.5 mph; best 60 ft of the night was a 2.699 hahahahaha. Definitely makes me appreciate the evo's 12sec passes a lot more.

^^^ I was just thinking last night that my Miata now feels pretty close to my Talon, which ran a 12.7sec 1/4, and I'm somewhere between 225-250whp.
SmOky, I work at Jack's Transmissions...we have a vendor forum over at EvoM. We did a lot of work on the car, including new clutches, billet pan, upgraded filter/cooler from SSP on the transmission. Pretty much the only thing we didn't do was tune it or build the short block...customer insisted that it come from ERL. IIRC he had the car less than a month before it blew up. We pulled the motor out and shipped the carnage back to ERL so they could try to figure out what happened.

Yeah all the work on my car was done by Kozmic Motorsports who used to be SSP-Texas. I run SSP 500 clutches/steels along with everything else they offer for the SST except for the flywheel. Just hoping for some TCU upgrades so I can finally get full use out of my setup.
